National Chung Hsing University (Taiwan)

The university was originally founded as Advanced Academy of Agronomy and Forestry in Taihoku Prefecture in 1919. In 1928, the academy became a department affiliated to Taihoku Imperial University. In 1943, the department became an independent entity again and moved to Taichū Prefecture. After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, the school was reorganized and became Taichung Agricultural Junior College. In 1946, it was upgraded to Taichung College of Agriculture. In 1961, it merged with the newly established College of Science and Engineering and College of Law and Business and became Chung Hsing University. In 1971, it became a national university and was named National Chung Hsing University.

The University of Tsukuba (筑波大学, Tsukuba daigaku), located in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, is one of top 9 Designated National University and selected as a Top Type university of Top Global University Project by the Japanese government. The university’s academic strength is in STEMM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine), physical education, and related interdisciplinary fields. It is by taking located in Tsukuba Science City which has more than 300 research institutions.The university has had three Nobel laureates (two in Physics and one in Chemistry, see also “History”), and about 70 athletes, their students and alumni, have participated in the Olympic Games.

Ibaraki University (茨城大学, Ibaraki Daigaku), Japan, is a national university located in Ibaraki Prefecture, with campuses in the cities of Mito, Ami and Hitachi. It was established on May 31, 1949, integrating these prewar institutions: Mito High School (Mito Kōtō-Gakkō), Ibaraki Normal School (Ibaraki Shihan-Gakkō), Ibaraki Juvenile Normal School (Ibaraki Seinen Shihan-Gakkō), and Taga Technical Specialists’ College (Taga Kōgyō Senmon-Gakkō). The initial colleges were the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, and the College of Engineering.

Nagoya University has a 144-year history, dating from when the Temporary Medical School/Public Hospital — the forerunner of today’s Nagoya University — was established in 1871. The University became the last Imperial University of Japan in 1939, and the educational reforms in 1949 led to the beginning of Nagoya University under the new education system. From that time to this day, the University has been pursuing steady development. As of 2018, Nagoya University boasts nine undergraduate schools, 13 graduate schools, three research institutes and three inter-university service facilities, standing strong and proud as one of the country’s core “comprehensive” universities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Released Research Procedures in Indonesia: Wide-Open Opportunities for Foreign Researchers!

The door has now been widely opened for various foreign higher education institutions, research institutions, and foreign researchers to conduct research programs in Indonesia in order to further cultivate and nurture Research and Development activities and build cooperations in knowledge and technology transfer across countries. In accordance with Government Decree No. 41/2006 which regulates research activities by foreign parties in Indonesia, foreign researchers are allowed to conduct their research collaboratively with local counterparts representing local higher education institutions, research institutions, or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) who have the competency in the respective fields of research.

Due to travel restrictions and the ongoing uncertainty of how the situation will develop during the coming months, Radboud University has had to make the difficult decision to cancel all physical study exchanges with partner institutions to/from your country, for our 1st semester 2021/22 (September intake). Radboud University is truly sorry about this decision and regret any inconvenience this may cause.

The applications of all UGM nominated students for the 1st semester of 2021/2022 will be cancelled by Radboud University. Housing and visa arrangements have not yet been made by the university’s office, so there will be no consequences regarding these matters.
