Novosibirsk State Technical University (Abbreviation: NSTU), until 1992 the Novosibirsk Electrotechnical Institute (NETI), is one of the major research and educational centers of Russia as well as one of the top technical universities located in Novosibirsk, Russia. At present, more than 14000 students are receiving quality educations at NSTU. The teaching staff consists of 968 full-time and 216 part-time lecturers including 184 Professors, Doctors of Science, 762 Associate Professors and Candidates of Science.

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL, or informally QM) is a public research university in London, England, and a constituent college of the federal University of London. It dates back to the foundation of London Hospital Medical College in 1785. Queen Mary College, named after Mary of Teck, was admitted to the University of London in 1915 and in 1989 merged with Westfield College to form Queen Mary and Westfield College. In 1995 Queen Mary and Westfield College merged with St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College and the London Hospital Medical College to form the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Overseas Education Expo (OEX) Office of International Affairs (OIA) UGM 2021 — The Innovative Virtual Overseas Education Exhibition Amidst the Pandemic

Although the COVID-19 pandemic still put most international mobility activities on halt, Office of International Affairs (OIA) UGM insists on taking UGM students—and the public—to “hunt” for study abroad opportunities through its first virtual exhibition entitled Overseas Education Expo (OEX) UGM. This year becomes the “debut” year of the overseas education expo, OEX, inviting over 30 UGM partner universities abroad and filled with workshops agenda and dissemination of information regarding partner universities’ profile, academic activities, exchange programs, chances to study on-site, and scholarship opportunities provided by the universities. Opening itself for UGM students and public members who have previously registered themselves, the three-day virtual exhibition was officially kicked off by the opening remarks of the Head of Office of International Affairs (OIA) UGM, I Made Andi Arsana, Ph.D., on Friday, 28th May 2021, and will be closed on Sunday, 30th May 2021. By means of Zoom and live streaming in the OIA UGM Youtube channel, OEX readily started the overseas education virtual exhibition “voyage” with all of the participants and study abroad enthusiasts from home.

Mahidol University (Thailand)

Mahidol University (Mahidol), an autonomous research institution in Thailand, had its origin in the establishment of Siriraj Hospital in 1888. Mahidol had an acceptance rate for Medicine of 0.4% as of the 2016 academic year. Becoming the University of Medical Science in 1943, it has been recognized as the country’s fourth public university. The university was later renamed in 1969 by King Bhumibol Adulyadej after his father, Prince Mahidol of Songkhla, the “Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand”.

The university was originally founded during King Chulalongkorn’s reign as a school for training royal pages and civil servants in 1899 (B.E. 2442) at the Grand Palace of Thailand. It was later established as a national university in 1917, making it the oldest institute of higher education in Thailand.
