Jeonbuk National University (JBNU; 전북대학교; 全北大學校; Jeonbuk Daehakgyo) is located in the historical city of Jeonju, Republic of Korea. As the flagship national university for the Jeollabuk-do Province, it was founded in 1947 by the provincial fund within the framework of the Korean national university system, following the liberation of the country.

JBNU has grown to 17 colleges (including Faculty of Public Policy and Jimmy Carter School of International Studies) and 14 graduate schools (one general, nine specialized and four professional schools).

Greetings from ASEAN University Network (AUN) Secretariat!

We are pleased to inform you that The Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) in collaboration with the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF) launched the Higher Education for ASEAN Talents (HEAT), a full scholarship opportunity for ASEAN faculty members to support acquisition of a doctoral degree in Republic of Korea with the aim to enhance their expertise and promote people-to-people exchanges between Korea and ASEAN universities.

Each year 30 scholarship recipients (the ASEAN faculty members representing their university) from 10 ASEAN Members States will be selected (3 persons per country), and each person will receive a full scholarship for three years. KCUE will cover tuition, living expenses, and other costs. Participants will receive a Doctoral degree from a Korean university after completion of the program.

The National Centre for Space Studies (CNES) (French: Centre national d’études spatiales) is the French government space agency (administratively, a “public administration with industrial and commercial purpose”). Its headquarters are located in central Paris and it is under the supervision of the French Ministries of Defence and Research.

It operates from the Toulouse Space Center and Guiana Space Centre, but also has payloads launched from space centres operated by other countries. The president of CNES is Jean-Yves Le Gall. CNES is a member of the Institute of Space, its Applications and Technologies.

Warm greetings from National Chung Hsing University!

 

National Chung Hsing University was established in Taihoku Prefecture in 1919, originally as the Advanced Agronomic and Forest Academy. In 1928, the academy entered the imperial university of Taihoku. In 1943, the department was once again autonomous and transferred into the Prefecture of Taichū. The school was reorganized and became Taichung Agriculture Junior College following Taiwan’s move from Japan to the Republic of China in 1940. It was rehabilitated at the Taichung Agriculture College in 1946. In 1961 it merged in Chung Hsing University with the newly-established College of Science and Engineering and the College of Law and Industry. It was named the National College of Chung Hsing University in 1971.

[Taiwan] Tunghai University – 2021 Fall Exchange Program

Greetings from Tunghai University, Taiwan.

Tunghai University was established in 1955 and it is located on the level plateau of Taichung’s Tatu Mountain. Tunghai University, a liberal institution is full of scholarly elites and abundant resources and is well-known for its beautiful campus. Tunghai has 9 colleges, 34 departments and 35 Master’s programs (1 independent Master’s program and 13 In-Service Master’s programs) and 14 PhD programs.

Tunghai currently has 9 colleges: College of Arts, College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Management, College of Social Sciences, College of Agriculture, College of Fine Arts and Creative Design, College of Law, and International College. Tunghai has a student body of approximately 17,000 students and close to 500 teachers (88% of assistant professors and above). The total area of Tunghai’s campus reaches 1,333,096 square meter. With its spacious campus, Tunghai has the ideal teaching and learning environment for each and every Tunghai faculty and student.

 Chubu University was established in April 1984 as a technical university for the Chubu region. In April 1998 it added the College of Humanities. It now has 7 colleges and 30 departments in the arts and sciences. It was founded as a pre-eminent technical university.

 Characteristics of the university are its establishment of a structure that is truly comprehensive. Studies of the fields of nature, society, and the humanities at its six colleges and twenty-one departments of arts and science. The university has created an academic environment in which students can study beyond the spheres of each department or college.
