Kansai University was founded as Kansai Law School in November 1886, in the large commercial city of Osaka. Its founders consisted of a dozen people who were judicial officers and businesspersons. Kansai University has seen remarkable development over its many years. Kansai University has 13 faculties, 13 graduate schools, three professional graduate schools, as well as a preparatory course for international students. Over its long history, all those involved in building its institution have had to overcome various hardships to achieve such prestigious standing.

Eligibility

  1. 3th to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least TOEFL ITP 550, TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5
  4. Be proficient in Japanese. Students must have N2 at JLPT or higher level of Japanese ability

[Japan] Hokkaido University Exchange Program Spring Semester 2023

Warm greetings from Hokkaido University in Japan!

We are pleased to inform you that Hokkaido University offers two programs called HUSTEP (The Hokkaido University Short-Term Exchange Program) and JLCSP (The Japanese Language and Culture Studies Program). HUSTEP is an undergraduate program designed for students to take a wide variety of classes offered in English in the fields of Culture and Society, Environment, Science and Technology. Besides, JLCSP is designed for undergraduate students whose main focus is studying Japanese language and are majoring in Japanese Studies. Students can apply for a scholarship which is offered by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) to a limited number of students. Eligibility

  1. Be enrolled in full-time undergraduate degree programs (S-1, Min. 5th Semester) at Gadjah Mada University and pay tuition fees at home university during the entire period of study in Japan.
  2. Min. GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
  3. Be proficient in English. Students must have a score of at least TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5 (For HUSTEP)*
  4. Must have N3 (or higher) on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test or the equivalent or higher proficiency in Japanese at the time of application (For JLCSP)
  5. Be able to arrive by late September or first week of April.

* In exceptional cases, a different internationally-recognized English test result may be accepted.

Kyoto Institution is a comprehensive research university with a student body made up of motivated young people from many cultural origins who are studying in a number of subjects. Approximately 2,000 international students from around 100 nations and regions make up the university’s overall enrolment of 23,000 students. Sharing your thoughts and goals with this varied group of students can tremendously benefit your academic achievement and student life.

Kyoto University is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2022-23 Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP). With the support of the Bai Xian Asia Institute and the Bai Xian Education Foundation, Kyoto University has operated the AFLSP as one of the program’s Partner Universities since 2014.

The AFLSP provides scholarships to assist students in deepening their understanding of cultural diversity, and aims to cultivate human resources who can contribute to the development of Asia and the world.

A variety of English medium programs are offered in Kyoto University, and the details of admission procedures differ depending on the graduate school.

UC Chile (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) seeks excellence in the creation and transfer of knowledge and in the provision of a Catholic based education to form people at the service of society. Founded in 1888, the university currently has nearly 33,000 students and 500 professors. Nearly 1,000 international students come to UC Chile to experience a mobility program. [Japan] Toyo University – Students Exchange Program for Spring 2023

Greetings from Toyo University in Tokyo, Japan!

Founded in 1887 by the philosopher Enryo Inoue, Toyo University is the only private university in Japan that puts “philosophy education” into practice. At that time, the Japanese public was being swept away by rapid changes in values as new cultures pressed following Japan’s opening to the world. That inspired him to raise a school that respects and enables students to develop their own perspectives and insights. 

Toyo University has continued to preserve its founding spirit and continues to expand today. With over 130 years of history, Toyo University currently has 13 faculties. That makes Toyo University a  comprehensive university that gives students the opportunity to study in a broad range of fields, from the humanities to science.

Eligibility 

  • 3rd to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1) and graduate students (S2)
  • GPA requirement: 2.5/4.0 scale
  • Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  • Be proficient in Japanese, proven by JLPT Certificate (N3 or higher) or the equivalent of CEFR B2 or higher in English
  • Students who don’t have a Japanese or English language proficiency test score are required to submit an “English-Language Ability Certificate” (please check the fact sheet to see the acceptable English scores)

  10. Letter of Nomination from faculty (addressed to Head of Office of International Affairs)

  12. Japanese Language Proficiency Certificate (JLPT Certificate (N1, N2, or N3)/ English Proficiency scores (CEFR B2 or higher)/ English or Japanese-Language Ability Certificate & copy of J-CAT score page (if you have)
  13. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
  14. Application for Certificate of Eligibility (after nominated)
  15. Financial Supporting Documents (after nominated)
  16. Certificate of Health (after nominated)

 

Application Procedure

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form (http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication) for internal review no later than September 20th, 2022. 
  2. OIA UGM will evaluate your application.
  3. Once you are selected as a Nominated Student, OIA will send your application to Toyo University and you may proceed to the online application for host-university selection.
  4. The FINAL decision from Toyo University.

  • The format for spring 2023 courses at Toyo (online, on campus, or hybrid) has not been determined. As information about spring 2023 and the study abroad program becomes available, we will keep you updated

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Inha University Student Exchange Program for Spring Entrance 2023 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

 

General Information

Eligibility

  1. Undergraduate students (S1) or Graduate students (S2/S3)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Minimum GPA of 2.22 on a 4.0 scale or 75 out of 100 points equivalent at home institution
  4. Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5, Duolingo English test 90, or Cambridge Advanced English 173 (for English courses)
  5. Applicants who will apply to the following departments need to fulfill the minimum TOPIK level requirement below in order to study in Korean (for Korean courses).
    • The department of Korean Language and literature (TOPIK 3 or above) [Graduate level: Korean Language and literature: TOPIK  4 or above for master level, TOPIC 5 or above for Doctoral Level]
    • The department of Korean Language & Culture(KLC)-TOPIK 3 or above

  5. A recommendation letter from an academic supervisor

  11. Bank certificate in a letter form under your own name and account (issued in English)

Application Procedures

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than September 12th, 2022 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Inha University and you may proceed to the online application.
  3. The FINAL decision from Inha University.
