Greetings from ASEA-UNINET!

We are pleased to announce several new funding opportunities and scholarships available exclusively to students, alumni, and staff of ASEA-UNINET member institutions, including Universitas Gadjah Mada. Please review the details below for project grants and degree-seeking scholarships in Austria, Italy, and Romania.

ASEA-UNINET Projects

This call supports multilateral research projects between Austrian and ASEAN member universities. Funding primarily covers travel and subsistence costs for project participants. (Note: Teaching projects are only permitted in the Arts).

  • Implementation Period: October 2026 – September 2027/2028.
  • Eligibility: Projects must involve at least one Austrian and one ASEAN member university. Multilateral projects are preferred.
  • Application Rule: Applications may ONLY be submitted by the project lead of an Austrian ASEA-UNINET member university. UGM staff interested in participating must proactively contact and collaborate with an Austrian counterpart.

Italy University Funding: University of Brescia LMINT & STAR Scholarships

The University of Brescia (UNIBS) is offering scholarships reserved specifically for applicants who graduated from ASEA-UNINET member institutions.

  • Program: Funds Master’s degree studies at UNIBS.
  • Deadline: 15 March 2026 (Urgent)

Romania University Funding: TAS & WUT Scholarships

Two Romanian universities are offering dedicated scholarships prioritized or reserved for graduates of ASEA-UNINET member institutions.

Transilvania Academica Scholarships (TAS) at Transilvania University of Brasov (UNITBV)

  • Program: Funds Master’s degree studies.
  • Deadline: 10 April 2026

West University of Timișoara (WUT) Scholarships

  • Program: Funds Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD studies.
  • Deadline: 1 August 2026

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
