[Competition] The e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC)

The e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC) is a flagship initiative of the e-Yantra project, organized annually for Engineering & Technical students. It’s actually a robotic MOOC that teaches skills in Embedded Systems, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Control Systems, Functional Programming, Image Processing and other contemporary areas. Participating teams are allotted “themes” that are abstractions of real-world problems. Themes are allotted in a selection process taking into account participants’ skills and parent discipline.

UGM Alumnus Represents Indonesia at the G20 Youth Summit

An alumnus of the Department of International Relations, Gadjah Mada University, Angelo Wijaya, recently attended the G20 Youth Summit which was held both in the City of Milan and the City of Bergamo, Italy. The meeting was held for a week from 19 to 23 July 2021 and was attended by more than 80 delegates from the 20 G20 members.

Angelo is the first UGM student in ten years to qualify as an Indonesian delegate for the G20 Youth Summit or also known as the Y20 Summit. This year, he was one of three delegates sent by Indonesia to attend the Y20 Summit series of events. Every year, hundreds of young Indonesians register to be one of these three youth representatives.

The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics Succeeds in Hosting the International Joint Conference ASTECHNOVA-EPIC 2021

The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics had just held the online ASTECHNOVA-EPIC 2021 International Joint Conference which was held on August 24-25, 2021 which had 510 participants from 12 different countries.

Bangladesh, Germany, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Canada, the United States, and Indonesia were among the twelve countries that participated. The Joint Conference concept was used since the event was made up of two different international conferences, ASTECHNOVA and EPIC, but the implementation was done at the same time.

Call for the Incoming students in the frame of the Erasmus+ KA107 Programme to come to the UCA in the second semester of 2021-2022 academic year.

The Erasmus+ Mobility for Studies programme offers students the chance to spend a period of continuous study at the University of Cádiz (UCA) during the second semester of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Mobility students will receive a grant, can attend courses and use all the facilities available at the University of Cádiz with no additional tuition fees (with the exception of any fees also applicable to local students). All learning activities approved in the Learning Agreement and completed successfully will be fully recognized at the home university. The Erasmus+ Programme offers students the chance to gain cultural experience abroad, become familiar with other higher education systems and meet young people from other countries, actively contributing to the process of international integration.

International Student Summit (ISS): Live Your Best Life in Indonesia!

On 23-25 August of 2021, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia x Kampus Merdeka held an event called International Student Summit (ISS).  This is an Indonesia cultural introduction program specified for Developing Countries Partnership Program (Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang-KNB) awardees. KNB itself is a scholarship program offered by the Government of Republic Indonesia for international students coming from developing countries. As the result, participants of ISS come from a wide range of countries, including India, Timor Leste, Egypt, and others.

International Summer Course Program – The 1st Multidisciplinary and Collaborative Approach on Pulmonary Artery Hypertension

The study data shows that comprehensive management plays an important role in supporting good and quality survival for HAP patients. Treatment with drugs to reduce pressure in the pulmonary veins is the main drug that should be given to patients with HAP. Our research team, in collaboration with the Pulmonary Hypertension Working Group, the Central Board of the Indonesian Cardiovascular Specialist Doctors Association (PP PERKI), has succeeded in making a policy that HAP drugs, namely sildenafil, are registered with the JKN-BPJS, so that they can be widely administered to HAP patients (Lilyasari et al., 2019). The administration of sildenafil provides benefits to HAP patients by improving their quality of life (Hidayati et al., 2020).

Greetings from Nara Women’s University, Japan!

Established in 1908, Nara Women’s University is one of two national women’s universities in Japan, along with Ochanomizu University. Nara Women’s University (NWU) was originally created to foster women who can succeed in society through education and research. Until now, most of the students and professors there are women as well. As in 2013, NWU has three faculties that focus on humanities and sciences.

Instead of the usual winter program, Nara Women’’s University will conduct an online program “YAE-ZAKURA 2021-2022” this winter. This shift can enable international students to participate from his/her school or home. The YAE-ZAKURA program offers introductory Japanese history classes, interactions with NWU students, and various cultural learning experiences through lectures taught by professors invited from institutions in the Kansai area.
