Covid-19Graduate ProgramResearch ProgramScholarshipSlide Tuesday, 27 October 2020

Warm greetings from Heidelberg Center for American Studies, Heidelberg, Germany!

The Heidelberg University Center for American Studies (HCA) was established in 2004, making this the current school of the oldest university in Germany. It was opened in 2003 by the Heidelberg University Centrum for American Studies (HUA). HCA was formally opened in October 2004. The HCA moved into its headquarters, situated on Hauptstraße 120, 69117, Heidelberg in the old center Heidelberg-Curt and Heidemarie Engelhorn.

The Heidelberg University Center for American Studies (HCA) has substantially contributed to US-European intellectual and cultural competence. The Institute provides the public with reliable perspectives into the United States and a significant transatlantic collaborator through public seminars, discussions, exhibits, and panel discussions. The Center promotes conversations, develops, and enhances transatlantic networks between academics and audiences. The HCA offers B.A., M.A., and American research Ph.D. programs. Students are chosen competitively, are prepared first-class, and are taught by highly experienced instructors.
