Under the Academic Cooperation Agreement Program (ACAP), Tokyo Tech waives the application, admission, and tuition fees of undergraduate (second year or above) and graduate-level International Exchange Students from participating partner universities. ACAP students are accepted for a period of 3 months to 1 year (for JASSO scholarship recipients, a period of 2 quarters (a semester) to 4 quarters (a year)) and are assigned to a laboratory where they may study and conduct research under the guidance of an academic supervisor

YSEP is a program for exchange students from Tokyo Tech’s partner universities around the world. It is conducted in English, and offers a unique opportunity to experience a research project along with Japanese language/culture. Tokyo Tech offers following two types of YSEP.

CAU has offered an International Winter Program since 2014. Thanks to the continued success of our short term program, in 2017, we decided to continue the International Winter Program to expand the opportunity for students around the world to experience not only what it is like to study at Chung-Ang University, but also to share the rich and wonderful culture of modern and traditional Korea. CAU’s International Winter Program (IWP) is a hybrid program providing students with a window into Korea, where courses are coupled with cultural experiences that foster an understanding of Korea’s Culture and Society.

Chonbuk National University (CBNU; 전북대학교; 全北大學校; Jeonbuk Daehakgyo) is located in the historical city of Jeonju, Republic of Korea. As the flagship national university for the Jeollabuk-do Province, it was founded in 1947 by the provincial fund within the framework of the Korean national university system, following the liberation of the country.

Founded in 1950 as the Tamkang Junior College of English by Mr. Chang Ching-sheng and his son Dr. Clement C. P. Chang, TKU was Taiwan’s first private college. It became the Tamkang College of Arts and Sciences in 1958, before being elevated to Tamkang University in 1980. This grant is for Indonesian scholars who hold a doctoral or equivalent degree and intend to carry out research for three to six months in the US.

Interested scholars must be permanent lecturers of Universitas Gadjah Mada and hold a Nomor Induk Dosen Nasional, or NIDN.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The applicants should:

• Be Indonesian citizens and not permanent residents of the US, or be currently living in the US
• Possess leadership qualities and show experience in community service
• Have preparation in, and a demonstrated commitment to their chosen field of study
• Be proficient in English
• Have an outstanding academic record
• Demonstrate that they can realistically conduct research in the US

Applicant will be ineligible if he or she is an employee, close family member of an employee, or dependent of an employee of AMINEF, the US Embassy, or the US Department of State.

This grant is for three years’ study at a US university to pursue a doctoral degree in any field of study except medical sciences. It is open to applicants who serve as permanent faculty members of state or private universities in Indonesia. In certain cases, grantees can request an exceptional fourth year if a substantial argument for it can be made.
