Saga University was a consequence of an amalgamation of many Japanese high schools and schools in 1949 (often shortened to Sagadai or Sadai). In 2003, the Saga Medical School was subsequently combined to form today’s Saga University. The University of Saga, distributed across two universities: Culture and Education, Finance, Health, Technology, Engineering and Agriculture, and Nabeshime, Saga University. By 2011, foreign exchanges have been conducted at the grassroots level with other colleges, but Saga already has a designated international exchange promotion center, with proven connections with colleges in Asia, Europe, and the U.S.

Established in 1955, Tunghai University is a liberal institution that is full of scholarly elites and abundant resources and is well-known for its beautiful campus. Energy Summer and Winter School is an independent international educational project for students from all over the world. Institute of Energy as a part of Peter the Great Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University organizes Energy School two times a year – Winter and Summer sessions. The School provides the opportunity to attend an intensive academic program with lectures, live sessions, interactive online lessons, keynote sessions, cultural courses, etc. All studies are developed according to the European requirements and can be recognized as a period abroad. Upon successful completion of the course, students are awarded 4 ECTS credits.

We are now planning to conduct SORAMITSU program this winter.

This online program offers participants online lectures from NWU professors on various topics such as Asian Studies, Sociology, Japanese linguistics, Traditional Japanese Culture and so on. In addition, participants will interact with NWU students online and have many chances to talk with each other in Japanese.

Through these lectures and interactions, participants will learn about Nara and Japan deeply and have many opportunities to speak Japanese and express their own thoughts in Japanese, which will surely improve their Japanese skills.

Busan University of Foreign Studies was founded in 1981 by the late Chung Tae-sung. His philosophy for education was that young intellectual minds must become leaders internationally. Busan University of Foreign Studies was founded as a college for studying foreign languages in April 1982 with its first students studying English, French, Japanese, Chinese, German, Indonesian, Malay, and Thai. Through the 1980s, the college expanded its programs and finally became a university in 1991. As of 2009, Busan University of Foreign Studies has academic exchange program agreements with 94 universities in 24 countries.
