Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) is an annual gathering of the international maritime community to advance key industry issues and exchange ideas to bring the sector forward. Driven by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA), in collaboration with industry stakeholders and research and educational institutions, SMW brings together key opinion leaders and industry leaders through conferences, dialogues and forums.

The University of British Columbia was established in 1908
and located in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The University of
British Columbia is a center for research and teaching. It has two main
campuses – the Vancouver campus and the Okanagan campus located in Kelowna. The
Vancouver campus is the larger of the two, accommodating more than 85 percent
of UBC students. In a recent year, 23 percent of students at the Vancouver
