Ending her remarks, Dr. Puji Astuti, S.Si., M.Sc., Apt hoped that cooperations between the two universities would continue through many other opportunities which would entail involvement and participation of many more of the UGM and JBNU’s academic community in the future. In accordance with Dr. Puji Astuti, S.Si., M.Sc., Apt’s remarks, JBNU’s Vice President for International Affairs, Mun Suk Ahn, later expressed his hopes that the potentials and opportunities for collaboration between UGM and JBNU will strengthen and grow in the present and future. Mun Suk Ahn also hoped that many more UGM students would choose Korea as their destination country, more specifically JBNU as their destination campus, to pursue their advanced studies, and vice versa.

Following the opening remarks session, the Head of OIA UGM, I Made Andi Arsana, Ph.D. presented a brief introduction of UGM which covered, among other things, international undergraduate study programs offered in UGM that might provide potentials for further collaboration with JBNU, and UGM international summer program, DREaM, that has been going on for more than a decade. The session was followed by introductions of BK21 scholarship programs presented by the Vice Dean of Graduate School of Energy(PV)-AI Integrated and School of Chemical Engineering of JBNU, O-Bong Yang. He underscored some of the important information, such as the degree programs being offered, which are Master program, Doctoral program, and Master & Doctoral programs; the content of courses provided for the studies which include Artificial Intelligence (AI) theory and its applications, solar cells, and AI-based solar power plant design; the admission periods which starts at March until May for the Spring semester and September until November for the Fall semester; and the scholarship specifications to be provided by JBNU for the BK21 program. Further explanation regarding the BK21 program was then delivered by Dr. Bum Seok Kim with more details on the wide-ranging field of the study programs available at JBNU, along with student eligibility, general requirements, and procedures to enroll in the mentioned programs.

Before ending the core event of the info session, a brief Q&A session was held with the participants at attendance—some of them proposed questions regarding the opportunities for collaboration on research programs for Doctoral studies and information on how to choose a supervisor for postgraduate studies at JBNU. After all questions were answered, the fun virtual info session was concluded with a photo session with all the participants.
