Greetings from Shibaura Institute of Technology!

Throughout its 91 years of history, SIT has proudly and consistently maintained ‘Nurturing engineers who learn from society and contribute to society’ as the philosophy in providing engineering education. Realizing the force of globalization that can no longer be separated from the global economy, SIT highlights the importance of up-to-date framework for ‘learning through practice’ experience by focusing on intensive English Language programs and Project Based Learning programs under a multicultural environment with many Hands-on subjects. With its well-known reputation, SIT currently has 265 laboratories and 200 partner universities.

We are pleased to inform you that the SIT Online Course-Taking Program for Spring Semester 2023 is now open.

Why this program?

  1. Students who are unable to study abroad for health reasons, or who have financial concerns, could consider participating in our program!
  2. Students are allowed to take courses not only from advanced courses in science and engineering fields.

Important Note

  • Students are possible to take the courses from both the Bachelor and Master levels if you meet the prerequisites of each course (Make sure to check the syllabus).
  • SIT now has uploaded the list of Master’s courses, and the list of Bachelor’s courses will be updated in late February.
  • The class will be conducted in Japanese standard time.
Application Period: February 15th – March 5th

Application fee: JPY15,000≈ US$115 (No Tuitions and admission will be charged for partner university!)

Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia – Virtual Academic Mobility Exchange 2023

As a source of engineering education, Universiti Tun Husein Onn was established and initially opened in 1993. This university grants undergraduate, graduate, and diploma degrees. Also, they have a variety of departments, such as those for mechanical and manufacturing engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, civil and environmental engineering, engineering education, information technology, and multimedia. A research center was also established within the institution with the intention of fostering innovation and research.

We are pleased to announce that the Faculty of Technology Management and Business, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia is now calling for Undergraduate students to participate in the Virtual Academic Mobility Exchange. Students will be entitled amongst others, transferrable credits for the courses they study in this programme, fully waived tuition fee, certificate of attendance, academic transcript and learning experience in new environments.

Toyo University Business Japanese Special Courses Spring 2023

Greetings from Toyo University, Japan!

Toyo University will hold a free online  “Spring Business Japanese Special Course “, inviting experts from various fields, from Feb 7th to Feb 13th. Toyo University welcomes students studying Japanese at universities in Japan and overseas, the foreigners working at Japanese companies, and those who are studying business Japanese in overseas countries/regions as long as they have Japanese ability equivalent to JLPT N2. They can choose to attend only one course or multiple courses.

This course will teach you about the Japanese language, cultural understanding, business etiquette, and other skills that are necessary in business scenarios. This course is also online using Webex as the platform.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from specialists in each profession about topics that have been carefully chosen. It also includes exam preparation for the “BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test” (Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation), which will aid overseas students in their job search.

This training will be extremely useful if you plan to take the BJT exam. You have the freedom to select any of the 14 courses that interest you. Don’t miss out on your chance to gain a deeper grasp of business Japanese and culture, which you may apply to your future career development.

Since 2014, Sophia University’s January Session has provided students from around the world with the opportunity to learn unique aspects of Japanese Studies in a comprehensive and intensive manner amongst a lively cosmopolitan community.

Sophia January Session 2023 will be hosted entirely online following their first hosting of an online January Session in 2021. All courses will be conducted live or with a mix of real-time and on-demand classes to maximize both interaction with lecturers and fellow students and flexible delivery across different time zones. By participating in scheduled live classes and completing on-demand lessons, student will be able to delve into Japanese language, culture and contemporary social issues, and earn credits upon successful course completion, wherever you are in the world.

  3. Be proficient in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least TOEFL IBT: 79, TOEFL PBT: 550, IELTS: 6.0
  4. Minimum GPA of  2.8 on a 4.0 scale
