Greetings from Indonesian Scholarship and Research Support Foundation (ISRSF)!

The Indonesian Scholarship and Research Support Foundation (ISRSF), or Yayasan Beasiswa dan Dukungan Penelitian Indonesian, is an organization created in 2012 by Indonesian and American scholars to promote social science research in Indonesia by Indonesians. The Foundation is an independent non-profit, and non-partisan philanthropic organization that channels financial support from a diverse group Indonesian donors.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Arryman Scholarship 2026  is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

  • As part of ISRSF commitment to support Indonesian social scientists, they have established a new scholarship for Indonesian economists at SOAS University of London. Recipients of SOAS Arryman Scholarships will receive support for studies leading to a doctoral degree in economics, economic policy, development economics, or international development studies.

  • One round trip air-ticket Jakarta-London-Jakarta
  • Visa fees
  • Health insurance
  • Postdoc at the Institutes for Advanced Research (IFAR Consortium) upon graduation

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Indonesian citizens, not older than 35 years.
  • Having a strong commitment to return to Indonesia as a full-time scholar upon completion of the PhD degree.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree (Strata 1) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).

  • Complete an online application form, including an academic or professional publication essay and two reccomendations.
  • Full citations for any academic publications, professional publications, research reports, or working papers you have written or co-authored (with links if available)

  • Passport – name and photo page only [pdf or jpg]
  • University transcript for each degree (not the diploma) [pdf or jpg]
  • English exam score certificates [pdf or jpg]
  • Essay 1: Statement of Purpose [pdf or Word]
  • Essay 2: Research Statement [pdf or Word]
  • Essay 3: Intellectual Influences [pdf or Word]
  • Analytical Writing Sample [pdf or Word]

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Apply directly to ISRSF. Kindly refer to Application Guide Website
  2. The deadline is 31 January 2026.
  3. The FINAL decision is from ISRSF.
