The purpose of the 2021 IEEE Ural Symposium on Biomedical Engineering, Radioelectronics and Information Technology (USBEREIT) is to bring together researchers and practitioners from multiple areas of radio science, including biomedical engineering, radioelectronics, information technology, information security and others. 

Unfortunately, the epidemiological situation is unstable. We cannot guarantee safety for all participants. Therefore 2021 USBEREIT will be held online. The health and safety of our participants and staff is the number one priority of IEEE.  

The main aim of YPI is to involve the young professionals community in the current scientific and practical problems discussion, as well as to create a modern communication platform for the ideas exchange between young professionals and scientists.

National Cheng Kung University was initially known as Tainan Technical College under the Japanese colonial rule in January 1931. The school was renamed to Taiwan Provincial Tainan Junior Institute of Technology in mars 1946, following which it was relocated to Japan in October 1945, and later in October of the same year, to Taiwan Provincial College of Engineering.

As the Chinese Government came to Taiwan in 1949, it was one of three colleges in Taiwan that remained. In 1956, as a provincial university became Cheng Kung named after a Chinese military chief who drove the Taiwanese Netherlands East India Corporation and established the Tungen Empire, Koxinga. As the number of colleges increased it became a provincial university. In 1971, it was turned into a state university and called National Cheng Kung University.

We are pleased to inform you that The Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) in collaboration with the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF) launched the Higher Education for ASEAN Talents (HEAT), a full scholarship opportunity for ASEAN faculty members to support acquisition of a doctoral degree in Republic of Korea with the aim to enhance their expertise and promote people-to-people exchanges between Korea and ASEAN universities.

Each year 30 scholarship recipients (the ASEAN faculty members representing their university) from 10 ASEAN Members States will be selected (3 persons per country), and each person will receive a full scholarship for three years. KCUE will cover tuition, living expenses, and other costs. Participants will receive a Doctoral degree from a Korean university after completion of the program.

HEAT is funded from ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF), and Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) is the implementing agency of the HEAT project. KCUE is a non-profit, non-governmental association of 4-year universities, representing the voice of member universities to increase autonomy and promote mutual cooperation between universities for the effective development of higher education in Korea.

The AASYP Spotlight Series is part of Spark’s resource and inspiration hub, dedicated to highlighting the incredible work that young people are doing across ASEAN and Australia. The Program is looking for young leaders who are creating an impact in their community to be featured in a professional video interview about their passion projects and their journey as changemakers.

The program is looking for young people who are:

• 18-29 years old from Australia or ASEAN
• Creating a tangible impact in their community or in their field of work or study
• Demonstrating leadership qualities and initiative
• Eager to share their story to inspire others

AASYP will select 11 young people from across ASEAN and Australia to feature in our Spotlight Series. Application and nominations are due on 30 September. Selected applicants will be advised by 5 October.

If you are selected as one of the 11 feature young leaders, AAYSP Secretariat will organize to produce a professional short video that highlights your impact and shares key learnings from your social impact journey to inspire other young leaders to create change. AAYSP Secretariat will work with you to film in October, in conjunction with a local videographer and translator, if required.

The Spotlight Series will form part of the AASYP Spark resource hub, which aims to equip and inspire young people to begin creating an impact in their communities. The Series will go live at a special launch event hosted by AASYP at the end of November. The Spotlight Series is supported by the Australia-ASEAN Council.
