Exchange students from our foreign partner institutions are enrolled at Doshisha as students of either “the Center for Global Education (commonly referred to as CGE-sei)” or “the Center for Japanese Language and Culture (commonly referred to as Nichibun-sei)”. They may take subjects offered at each Center as well as access the same campus facilities as regular Doshisha students.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

• Curriculum Vitae
• Letter(s) of recommendation
• Motivation Letter
• Official academic transcript (legalized)
• Colored copy of passport
• Passport-size photo (4 pieces, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background color, taken within the past three months)
• English/Japanese language proficiency :
  • Applicants for the Center for Japanese Language and Culture are required to have a year-long study in college-level Japanese language prior to the time of application, or the equivalent.
  • Applicants for the Center for Global Education are required to have native level of Eglish proficiency.
    (TOEFL-ITP 500, TOEFL-iBT 61, TOEIC 630 or IELTS 5 or more)
