Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada proudly presents Summer Course 2025 in Agri-food Sector: Artificial Intelligence Applications for Advancing the Agri-food Industry.
In this summer course, we will emphasize the urgent need to implement Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based strategies for addressing the impacts of climate change on the agricultural sector. The application of AI in the agricultural and food sectors is still limited compared to its potential surge of AI development, research, and application in these sectors. Consequently, a comprehensive approach is required to use AI throughout the agri-food sector, encompassing all stages from agriculture (food production), processing and analysis (food processing/analysis), and supply chain.
Collaboration among universities, industries, and government, both domestically and internationally is essential to accelerate the development of AI in the agro-industrial sector, thereby achieving sustainable food security at the domestic, regional, and global scales in response to climate change and Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), especially on goals (2) Zero Hunger; (3) Good Health and Well-being; (4) Quality Education; (9) Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure; (12) Responsible Consumption and Production; (13) Climate Action; (15) Life on Land; and (17) Partnerships for the Goals.

(1) Pre-Course/Full Online:
- Date: July 21-27, 2025
- Venue: Virtual via ELOK UGM (UGM’s Learning Management System) [for onsite and online participants]
(2) Course/On-Site & Online:
- Date: July 28-August 2, 2025
- Venue: Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada [for onsite participants] / Virtual via Zoom Meeting [for online participants]
