To meet the social needs according to the rapid development in science and technology, the Graduate School of Science and Engineering trains researchers and high-level professionals in various fields of science and engineering. Based on our motto “harmonizing the academic studies with the practice”, our curriculum is designed to train our students to possess not only a high level of theory and skills in the specialized fields but also a wide view to utilize science and technology to benefit the people. The LSE-PKU Summer School was launched in 2004 and is rapidly establishing itself as a leader in intensive international short courses in the social sciences.
The 2016 LSE-PKU Summer School includes recognised flagship courses from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) and Peking University (PKU). All courses have a Chinese and/or Asian dimension and are taught in English by internationally renowned specialists in the field, who have a full time position at one of the partner institutions.
The LSE-PKU Summer School is an intensive two-week programme at university level. It is suitable for both university students and professionals

The KNU 4-week Global Summer School brings together students and academics from all over the world for a unique intercultural learning experience and special taste of Korean culture. All courses are taught in English, and you will take courses with Korean students as well as other participants from all over the world.

HOUSING:
All participants will be assigned a double-occupancy room in the KNU on-campus dormitories (2 students per room). Rooms are furnished with beds, mattresses, cabinets, desks, chairs, and bookshelves. Breakfast is provided at the dormitory cafeteria.

1. International Summer Program (ISP) 2016

ISP is the annual summer program for international students. In the summer of 2016, a three-week program will be organized from 14th August to 3rd September 2016. The programs have attracted a great number of students from different countries for the last 5 years. The purpose of the programs is to provide international students with knowledge about the economy of Vietnam, how to do business in Vietnam, and experience of Vietnamese culture.

On behalf of Humanitarian Affairs and the Vietnam Government, we would like to cordially invite UGM  students to attend the 7^th University Scholars Leadership Symposium in Hanoi, Vietnam from August 1^st to the 7^th, in 2016.
The Symposium brings together over 1,000 delegates from more than 60 countries, to partake in this life changing opportunity. The 7^th USLS; Inspiring Individuals, Transforming Communities, will reinforce the idea of Global Citizenship by connecting like-minded individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. Furthermore, influential humanitarian leaders will inspire delegates to identify themselves as Global Citizens through the stories they share and the humanitarian conflicts they present. The USLS will also provide student leaders with the knowledge to take actions that benefit communities in need.
The Symposium will invite over 8 world-renowned speakers to highlight the humanitarian issues the world faces today. The influential leaders that delegates will have the privilege to learn from, during the program, will include an American Nobel Peace Prize finalist, several TED Talk speakers and founders of accomplished NGOs. To name a few, Tim Peters is an American Nobel Peace Prize finalist and the world’s most visible advocate for human rights in North Korea. Peters will return this year to the USLS to address the challenges he overcame to gain the American government’s approval for the first North Korean refugee. Delegates will also hear from Susan Hammond, a daughter of a United States Vietnam Veteran and a leading expert on Agent Orange.
