Ibaraki University (茨城大学, Ibaraki Daigaku), Japan, is a national university located in Ibaraki Prefecture, with campuses in the cities of Mito, Ami, and Hitachi. It was established on May 31, 1949, integrating these prewar institutions: Mito High School (Mito Kōtō-Gakkō), Ibaraki Normal School (Ibaraki Shihan-Gakkō), Ibaraki Juvenile Normal School (Ibaraki Seinen Shihan-Gakkō), and Taga Technical Specialists’ College (Taga Kōgyō Senmon-Gakkō). The initial colleges were the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education, and the College of Engineering.

UGM Signs MoU with NUS to Further Grow Innovation and Entrepreneurship Capabilities in Indonesia

UGM officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National University of Singapore (NUS) on Friday (16/7)  to expand collaboration on venture creation and entrepreneurship. The signing took place at InnovFest, an official event by Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG) for start-up and innovation. Aside from UGM, Universitas Indonesia (UI) is also a signatory of the agreement.

This new collaboration will provide scholarship opportunities for UGM students to continue their study at the Master of Science in Venture Creation at NUS. The collaboration also aims to create a joint venture creation program to facilitate new start-ups and entrepreneurships in Indonesia.

Universitas Gadjah Mada with support from The Nippon Foundation through the fellowship program known as the “Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund Program” (SYLFF) is offering UGM-SYLFF Fellowship which exclusively awards shortlisted applicants to pursue the graduate program on the subject of Social Sciences and Humanities in Universitas Gadjah Mada. The UGM-SYLFF Fellowship is an innovative approach to the lasting cooperation of the UGM and Tokyo Foundation under the Sylff consortium with 69 other universities in 44 countries.

June 26 is the day of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2021. Nations and people worldwide are helping each other to share the awareness to prevent drug abuse which can lead us to some negative aspects that can destroy the world’s sustainable development.

By the spirit of fighting against drug-abuse issues, Raja Bandar Universitas Gadjah Mada (Youth Task Force of Anti-Drugs in Universitas Gadjah Mada) and STAND DIY (Youth Task Force of Anti-Drugs in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta) has collaboration and created ‘Anti-Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Festival’ by the name of SANTANA.

The current situation should not hold back our intentions to earn more knowledge. Acknowledging this, FEB UGM through i-Week organizes the annual summer program which provides wide range of benefits from lectures and discussions facilitated by internationally competent and recognised faculty members, transferrable credit, CEO talks and exposure to multicultural environment.

This year, i-Week is shifting to an online summer program without diminishing its essence. Meaning, FEB UGM guarantees access to online education for every students coming from different cities and countries.
