The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is an autonomous public university in Singapore founded by Thomas L. Magnanti. From its inception in April 2012 until December 2014, SUTD’s interim campus was located at the former ITE College Dover campus in Dover. Its permanent campus, which debuted in January 2015 and is accessible via Upper Changi Station on the Downtown MRT Line, is situated close to Changi Business Park. It is the only university in Singapore’s eastern region as of 2018. SUTD chose DP Architects Pte. Ltd. and UNStudio from Amsterdam through an open selection process to design the academic cluster of its permanent campus in Upper Changi.

Tongji University, founded in 1907 in Shanghai by the German government and German physicians, is one of China’s oldest, most selective, and most prestigious universities under the Project 985 and Double First Class University Plan. It is a Chinese state university of Class A Double First Class. Engineering, architecture, and business programs at Tongji University are well-known.The university’s faculty includes 27 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 27 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Waseda University Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies International Relations Program was selected for the International Priority Graduate Program (PGP) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). The PGP program, which was created by MEXT to support programs that have international appeal to foreign students, provides priority allocation for government-financed foreign students. This program awards a full scholarship including a round trip air fee, tuition, entrance fee, and monthly stipend for 2 years of MA program and 3 years for Ph.D. program in Japan.
