We are looking for a student interested in an internship in our International office starting from September 2016. We would like to hire someone with minimum 3 years of studies with a good level of French language. The student will help us with administration tasks (incoming/outgoing students) and will participate in Language center activities. It is a paid internship and there is a possibility for the student to rent a student room at university campus.

DAAD Helmut-Schmidt-Programme (Master’s Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance) 2017

What are the objectives of the programme? This programme is designed to further qualify future leaders in politics, law, economics and administration according to the principles of Good Governance and to prepare them in a praxis-oriented course for their professional life. Very good graduates with a first university degree get the chance to obtain a Master’s degree in disciplines that are of special relevance to the social, political and economic development of their home country. The knowledge and experience acquired in Germany should enable the scholarship holders to later contribute to the establishment of democratically oriented economic and social systems aimed at overcoming social differences. In addition, the training at German institutions of higher education should qualify the scholarship holders to become partners in the political and economic co-operation with Germany. With this programme, DAAD intends to contribute to the support of good governance and civil society structures in selected partner countries and regions. The scholarship scheme is open to graduates in the field of social sciences, political sciences, law, economics and in public administration. Target group Very well qualified graduates with a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) who want to actively contribute to the social and economic development of their home countries. The scholarships are offered both for young graduates without professional experience and for mid-career professionals. What is fundable? The scholarships are awarded for selected Master courses at German institutions of higher education listed below. The study programmes will start in September/October 2017. The courses have an international orientation and are taught in German and/or English.  Prior to their study programmes all scholarship holders will receive a 6-months- German language course from April 2017 to September 2017. The language courses take place at selected institutes in Germany and not at the universities of the selected study programme. The language course is compulsory also for those who will attend a Master course taught in English. The scholarship holders will be offered a special tutoring at their host institutions financed by DAAD. Furthermore, there is the possibility to attend networking events.  DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 €. The scholarship also includes contributions to health insurance in Germany. In addition, DAAD grants an appropriate travel allowance and a study and research subsidy as well as rent subsidies and/or allowances for spouses and/or children where applicable. Student Opportunity Offers: Alternative Leadership Program with Japanese Students

=&0=&, in collaboration with Nippon Foundation Student Volunteer Center (gakuvo.jp) is holding =&1=& that can be chosen: =&2=& and =&3=&. We are looking for =&4=& one and =&5=&. They will join Japanese students from various university in Japan. During the program, students will learn about the topics depends on the theme. Not only learning, they will also get hands-on experience through the creative activities. =&6=&, students will have a lecture with UnLtd Indonesia (UnLtd Indonesia is a non-profit organization that supports Social Entrepreneur in Indonesia technically and financially through their social entrepreneur and social enterprise incubator program). They will learn about social entrepreneurship in Indonesia such as the background, struggles, and achievement. After, they will explore real situation in Indonesia to understand the role of social entrepreneurs in answering the problem in society by doing real actions. For the main activity, students will be divided into four (4) groups and each group will meet one of four (4) Social Entrepreneurs which are =&7=&, =&8=&, =&9=&, and =&10=&. They will get the opportunity to have an interview about their activities and values as social entrepreneurs. After, they present the documentation result and possibly share their own business plan to UnLtd representatives and some Japanese expats who have concerns about this topic (social entrepreneurs are also invited to attend if they were available). Students’ documentation result will also be published in the official Nippon Foundation Website to spread more awareness and positive action. =&11=&, the main program is voluntary teaching for the kids in the riverbank of Code River. The theme for this workshop is ‘Clean Environment: I start from myself!’. Participants, 10 Japanese and 5 Indonesian students will work in teams to create creative workshop to deliver that theme so the kids are able to realize the importance of keeping their environment clean, especially they are living by the river where this issues is crucial.
