[IMPORTANT] Updates on Indonesia Immigration per September 2021
Indonesia soon will welcome back foreigners. According to the recent update, Indonesia finally can flatten the curve and manage to hold the spreading of Covid-19, thanks to Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement (PPKM). This situation encourages the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to issue the newest regulation regarding permitting Foreigners to travel to Indonesia.

UGM Partners Up with Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt Germany
Universitas Gadjah Mada signed Memorandum of Understanding with Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) Germany this August 2021. The signing is the culmination of months of communication facilitated and initiated by the Education and Cultural Attach in Berlin, Germany, Ardi Marwan.

Student Team from UGM Wins 4 Awards at the ASEAN Level ARC Competition
The UGM All Can Eat Meat team consisting of I Nyoman Anggie Pratistha (Food Technology and Agricultural Products 2019), I Putu Fadya Rachmawan (Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology 2019), and Gusti Putu Surya Govinda Atmaja (Mechanical Engineering 2019) managed to win 4 titles at the 7th Southeast Asian Agricultural Engineering Student Chapter Annual Regional Convention (ARC) 2021 Universiti Putra Malaysia event organized by the Malaysian Society of Agricultural Engineers on August 10, 2021. The four titles won were 1 gold medal for research output model video presentation competition for the food engineering category, 1 bronze medal for poster competition in the green technology category, 1 bronze medal for best paper in the food engineering category, and 1 Most Favorite Poster in the green technology category.
The Role of Wayang as a Communication Media in Facing the Covid-19 Pandemic
Wayang is a form of communication that has been around for a long time in Indonesia and is being used today. Prof. Kasidi of ISI Yogyakarta’s Department of Puppet Arts, Faculty of Performing Arts, stated shadow puppets are one among the communication channels being utilized to combat the current Covid-19 pandemic. Wayang kulit performances are frequently utilized to convey concepts regarding the efforts in dealing with the pandemic.
UGM Alumnus Represents Indonesia at the G20 Youth Summit
An alumnus of the Department of International Relations, Gadjah Mada University, Angelo Wijaya, recently attended the G20 Youth Summit which was held both in the City of Milan and the City of Bergamo, Italy. The meeting was held for a week from 19 to 23 July 2021 and was attended by more than 80 delegates from the 20 G20 members.
