On Friday (25/2), UGM received a visit from the Cultural Counsellor of the French Embassy in Indonesia. This visit was led by Mr. Stéphane Dovert, as Cultural Counsellor of the French Embassy in Indonesia, and François Dabin, as Director of IFI-LIP Yogyakarta. This visit was warmly received by Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, as Rector of UGM, and several other representatives from UGM.

On Tuesday (25/01), UGM held a virtual introductory meeting with King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. This meeting was intended to explore the partnership opportunity between these two institutions, thanks to the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, who have been actively bridging the initial communication.

Universitas Gadjah Mada signed Memorandum of Understanding with Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) Germany this August 2021. The signing is the culmination of months of communication facilitated and initiated by the Education and Cultural Attach in Berlin, Germany, Ardi Marwan.
Faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, the community has made numerous attempts to maintain health and boost body immunity in order to protect themselves from the disease. The utilization of herbal substances derived from spices was one of the initiatives made at the time.
