The planet’s future is closely linked to the existence of forests and forestry as a support and driver of human life systems. Advances in science and technology that change the needs of the earth’s population for food, energy, water resources and a clean environment can only be provided if the function of forest ecosystems can be appropriately maintained. Tropical forests in Indonesia are the third largest in the world, and other forest ecosystems determine the level of community welfare and conservation of biodiversity. The challenges faced, and innovations developed by different countries to manage their diverse forest landscapes must be exchanged to enhance the collaboration of earthlings to save the remaining forests. Program Description:

This is a summer course that will mainly discuss how smart digital technology will bring more opportunities for students to learn clinical related psychomotor skills. As the application of virtual reality and the development of digital technology in the field of dentistry is currently developing very fast. Now is the time to develop this educational experience. Through this course, students will learn the state of the art and what is the future perspective of smart digital technology for education in health faculties. At the end of the course students will have the opportunity to pour their creative ideas on what smart digital technology they need and want to be applied to clinical related psychomotor skills.

Program Description:

The 4th ASEAN Youth Initiatives Empowerment Program (AYIEP) – Human Rights Research in ASEAN is a comprehensive training program designed to equip young academics and researchers with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct human rights research in Southeast Asia. Hosted by the ASEAN Studies Center at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, the program aims to advance human rights research and address knowledge gaps in human rights issues prevalent in the region.

The primary objectives of the AYIEP include providing a tailored curriculum developed in consultation with experts to deliver practical and theoretical knowledge on human rights research methodologies, as well as fostering a network of young academics and researchers committed to pioneering human rights studies in ASEAN.

Through education on sustainable tropical agriculture, Indonesia can fulfill its commitments under international agreements such as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 2 which strives to eradicate hunger, achieve food security and nutrition, and advance sustainable agriculture. Investing in education on sustainable agriculture is crucial for Indonesia to secure a sustainable future for its agricultural sector and its people.

Program Description

The Summer School 2023 on Number Theory and Cryptography is a satellite event of The 9th SEAMS-UGM 2023 International Conference on Mathematics and Its Applications. The school will be held from 10-24 July 2023 and will be offered in both online and offline participations. The curriculum will cover key concepts in Algorithmic Number Theory, Partition Theory, and their applications to Cryptography. These courses are designed to equip students and young researchers with the foundational knowledge necessary for further exploration and research in the fields of number theory and cryptography.

“South East Asian Tropical Biology Ecosystem is the mega biodiversity center of many plants, animals, and other exotic species. This ecosystem also plays an important role to sustain economical needs for the livelihood of the people living in the area. Nevertheless, population growth and human activities, land degeneration, deforestation, climate change, and unsustainable economic policy threaten the biodiversity and the function of the tropical ecosystem to sustain livelihoods.

Introduction

To mark its 150th Anniversary in 1982, Jardine Matheson established an educational trust called The Jardine Foundation to provide scholarships. The Foundation in its discretion awards Jardine Scholarships annually to students to enable them to attend educational establishments, primarily selected colleges at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge (the ‘Universities’) in the
United Kingdom.

The Foundation aims to assist scholars who have the potential to become outstanding citizens with a high commitment to the community. Consequently, the selection of candidates is based on a number of criteria, which include academic achievement, leadership qualities, and involvement in non-curricular activities and community affairs. The Foundation has established a programme in conjunction with Universitas Gadjah Mada (‘UGM’) to offer a total of two scholarships a year for Oxford and Cambridge
Universities for postgraduate courses. UGM will seek suitable applicants from its alumni or faculty for recommendation to the Foundation. Candidates shortlisted by the Foundation will be required to apply to the Universities, and if successful in securing a place, will then be subject to a final consideration by the Selection Committee.
