APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 15 May 2024 for internal review.
2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Utsunomiya University and you may proceed to the online application.
3. The FINAL decision is from Utsunomiya University.

The eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN—launched in conjunction with the ASEAN Day on 8 August 2018—is a collaborative programme by the ASEAN Foundation and Maybank Foundation dedicated to empowering youth and communities across the region. The programme provides youth with an experiential and educative learning platform through social volunteerism. They collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds to implement their ideas and advocate solutions to grounded issues in local communities across ASEAN. They delve into an impactful journey to make a tangible, meaningful change among target communities in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) offers a various type of international program, including Dual Degree Program, Exchange Program, Short Program/Summer Course, Faculty Visit, and Faculty Exchange. For short program, FEB has a flagship summer course program known as International Week (iWeek) that was held since 2014 with various topics that highlighted the recent global issues. FEB has also cooperated with other partner university to hold summer program known as International Summer University (ISU) since 2010. After many years hosting international students to experience new knowledge from experts around the world and to explore culture in Yogyakarta through summer programs, FEB has designed a new concept of summer programs which will include various tracks and activities including Lecture, Company Visit, Credit Transfer, Summer Project, Cultural Event and Gala Dinner. FEB introduces to you Global Summer Week (GSW) which is a 2-week summer course program worth 3 credits (5 ECTS) per track. GSW will be held fully offline in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

On March 7th, 2024 Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and the University of Dundee, Scotland officially signed the first Memorandum of Understanding and Articulation Agreement for the Double Degree Program at Master’s Level. The signing ceremony was held at UGM main building and was attended by distinguished guests and faculty members.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for the Sophia University Japanese Studies MEXT Scholarship Program 2024 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicants must be undergraduates at the time of arriving and leaving Japan.
• Applicants must be majoring in fields related to the Japanese language or Japanese culture.
• Those who have studied the Japanese Studies at a university for a total period of one year or more as of September 2024.
• Applicants must submit BOTH a certificate of N2 level or above of the JLPT and one of the following English aptitude proofs.
• Minimum 79 on TOEFL iBT
• Minimum 550 on TOEFL PBT/ ITP
• Minimum 6.0 on IELTS(Academic)
• Minimum 730 on TOEIC
• Cambridge English: C2 Proficiency (CPE) or C1 Advanced (CAE)
• Applicants must be enrolled in the Faculty of Liberal Arts as an exchange student at Sophia University from September to July (both Autumn semester 2024 and Spring semester 2025).
