Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia delegation on Monday, 20 February 2023. This honorary visit was part of a series of tours for the delegation to several cities in Indonesia including Jakarta, Bandung and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The delegation was led by Dr. Abdulrahman Ali M. Alamri, Assistant Deputy Minister for International Cooperation, totaling 7 people consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and several representatives of universities in Saudi Arabia.

In partnership with the Asia Pacific Council (APAC) of the Association of Experiential Education (AEE), The Student SUcceSS Centre (SSC) is collaborating with the College of Interdisciplinary and Experiential Learning (CIEL), to organize its inaugural regional conference on 13-15 June 2023.

Introduction

IISMA is a Government of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students on mobility programs to overseas universities.  IISMA is designed to accommodate undergraduate and vocational students to spend one semester (approximately 16 weeks) at university to study, experience host country culture, and do practical assignments to hone their skills. This program is centrally managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Kemdikbudristek (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology or MoECRT) funded by the Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan/Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). Application of participation is open for undergraduate and vocational students from all Indonesian higher education institutions.
