Prince of Songkla University (PSU) is a renowned public university in Thailand, named after His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol Adulyadej, the father of modern medicine and public health in Thailand. Established in 1967, PSU has campuses located in five provinces: Hat Yai, Pattani, Phuket, Surat Thani, and Trang.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

This program offers the greatest opportunity to explore Phuket, the biggest island in Thailand, located on the west coast of the Andaman Sea. Phuket is one of Asia’s most popular tourist destinations with its stunning natural scenery, turquoise sea, white sand beaches, lush tropical rainforests, and lovely people. PSU Phuket encourages students to discover more about our rich cultural life and distinct traditional identity as the “Pearl of the Andaman” through our PSU Phuket Summer Program 2023. ACCOMODATION INFORMATION 

There are one on-campus and five off-campus International Houses of Kyoto University and other dormitories offered for exchange students. However, they are not guaranteed and are subject to availability due to limited housing capacity. As of Fall 2022, 40% of the exchange students were allocated a dorm room on a lottery-basis. 

 

MEDICAL SYSTEM INFORMATION

Kyoto University does not have a medical facility on campus that provides consultations, medical care or medications to students, and their health care office only provides primary clinical care in emergency situations on campus. They have a department that offers counseling for mental health issues; however, they cannot prescribe medication as it is not a medical facility. If any physical or mental health issues arise, students need to seek medical care off campus. However, please note that there are a limited number of off-campus medical facilities that can provide English-language services (especially mental health). Students should consider this medical situation in Japan and their own health conditions before applying to this exchange program.

Q-PELS consists of following 4 faculties, the School of Science, the Graduate School of Science, the Graduate School of Mathematics and the Graduate School of Systems Life Sciences.

  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id
