The University of Warwick in collaboration with St Mary’s is launching its next Warwick Summer School, a three week programme which will run from July 16 – August 5 2017. The Summer School will be delivered in London from the St Mary’s University campus and will be taught by world leading academics including Professors Ken Binmore CBE, Marcus Miller, Philip Booth and Abhinay Muthoo. 100% of our previous Economics Summer School students would recommend the programme to a friend.

Asian Undergraduate Summit is a student-run international event organised by students from University Scholars Programme (USP) of NUS. The 3rd iteration of AUS seeks to encourage participation and collaboration with more of our regional partners in ASEAN and Asia at large. This year’s theme is “Leadership in a Complex World: Disruptive Change in Everyday Life”, which aims to explore the impact of disruptive change and its impact.

The South China Sea Institute of Xiamen University (SCSI), and Dalian Maritime University (DMU), announce their annual summer program Marco Polo- ZHENG He Academy of International Oceans Law and Policy, to be held from 2 July – 30 July, 2017. SCSI and DMU are leading interdisciplinary research centers in China in the area of Oceans Law and Policy. This is the 12th session of the summer academy which has been attended in the past by the scholars, practitioners, diplomats and students from -: Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brunei, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Guyana, India, Indonesia, Iran, DPR Korea, Rep. of Korea, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand, Togo, Turkey, U.S., and others. The four-week intensive summer program is divided into two sessions to be held in Chinese cities of Xiamen and Dalian. The participants have an option to attend either or both of the sessions. The program offers a unique chance to learn about the Chinese perspectives on Law of the Sea and its policies. The program includes class lectures in morning sessions and trips to Chinese courts, ocean-related government agencies, yachts club, museums, etc. in the afternoon sessions. Participants also have the option of taking tests and getting credits transferred to their own schools. Limited number of scholarships is offered to outstanding candidates upon application and subsequent review. Warmly welcome the participants from developing countries to apply for the scholarships.

This year, 2017 NCKU International Summer School features Circular Economy (CE) as the theme of core course, and also the Chinese language and cultural classes, as they have always been of great interest to foreign students worldwide. CE courses demonstrate a clever and systematic use of technology on business and daily life can actually benefit the people and the environment at the same time. A thread of interdisciplinary classes will be provided in English intensively in a two-week period. Two credits will be awarded to students who fulfill the course requirement successfully. International Summer Programme in Architecture: Cities in Asia is a three-week credit-bearing course organized by the HKU Department of Architecture since 2010. It is a design and research studio that travels to multiple cities in Asia. Students would study the effects of industry, manufacturing and other forms of production, and their adjacency to requisite urban functions such as housing and commerce.

Toyo Summer Program Ⅱ 2017 will examine Japanese culture and society, comparing traditional and modern, as well as urban and rural Japan. The program will be a combination of classroom activities, field trips, and experiential learning. Most of the program will take place in Tokyo, but participants will also have an opportunity to do a homestay with Nouka-minshuku (farming families) in Noto, a farming village in Ishikawa Prefecture on the Sea of Japan. While in Noto, participants will experience hands-on field activities such as forest preservation and agriculture. At the end of the program, participants will give presentations on Japan’s attractive qualities from an international perspective.
