[South Korea] Kangwon National University – Exchange Program 2017

Kangwon National University is one of ten core national universities located in Chuncheon, the capital of G(K)angwon Province in Korea. Korea has a juridical system with its eight provinces and two metropolitan cities, each of which has one of those core national universities.
KNU is keen to encourage reciprocal student exchange with its partner institutions and thus offers various options for exchange students visiting KNU.

Hankuk University of Foreign Studies is a premier university for globalized education, where students from around the world actively foster our prevailing international mindset.
Developed in conjunction with internationally renowned universities and research institutes, HUFS offers extensive opportunities to help students grow to become internationally competitive individuals. The student exchange program at HUFS is designed to develop a global perspective by gaining an appreciation of cultural diversity through immersion in academic and cultural experiences.
The Student Exchange Program is a system in which students of HUFS and overseas sister institutions, based on an agreement of credit and student exchanges, study at  partner institutions for a specific period of time and get their credits accepted by their home institutions. Students remain enrolled at and pay tuition fees to their home institutions. The programs that are undertaken may be credited towards a degree depending on transfer agreements.

A short stay abroad as a part of your bachelor’s or master’s degree programme can definitely be a lifelong advantage – an experience to remember all your life! Choosing the right country, city and university for your study stay abroad can however be challenging: your guest-university should furnish you with the skills and knowledge for your specific academic field. Groningen is a small city, but full of life. What will probably strike you most when entering Groningen is its youthful population. Roughly a quarter of the city’s 197.000 inhabitants consists of students. You will find them everywhere, studying in the park, riding a bike, or having a drink with fellow students in one of the many cafe!

[France] University of Burgundy – Exchange Program 2017

Located in Burgundy, between Paris and Lyon, uB has its main campus in Dijon, and several others spread across Burgundy. It counts 10 faculties, 4 engineering schools, 3 institutes of technology offering undergraduate courses, and 2 professional institutes providing post-graduate programmes. uB enrols 27,000 students, among whom 3,000 international students, every year. Fully involved in the Bologna process, uB offers 70 Bachelor programmes, 95 Masters programmes, 16 undergraduate technological programmes, 4 postgraduate engineering programmes, as well as PhD programmes in every field. Most programmes are taught in French, but a growing number is taught in English. uB is the only university in the Burgundy region but in recent years it has worked hand in hand with its sister university in the neighbouring region of Franche-Comté. Both universities hope to be at the forefront of academic education and research in France by pooling knowledge, research projects and teaching programmes.

Chinese Language & Culture Immersion in Taiwan is an intense program designed by the Language Center in NCU. The curriculum includes listening, speaking, reading and writing and we also offer some tutorial hours and field trips for the participants to get to know about Taiwan culture and be able to practice what they learn in the real world. The emphasis for our program is to build up a student’s overall Chinese ability.   When participants enter the program, they are tested on their Chinese level and put into a course that best matches their needs.
