On March 7th, 2024 Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and the University of Dundee, Scotland officially signed the first Memorandum of Understanding and Articulation Agreement for the Double Degree Program at Master’s Level. The signing ceremony was held at UGM main building and was attended by distinguished guests and faculty members.
Professor Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D., the Rector of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), was among the keynote speakers at the Asian Universities Science and Technology Innovation Forum 2024 held in Hong Kong on January 27 and 28.
Yogyakarta, Indonesia – Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed esteemed delegates from Taylor’s University, Malaysia, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, for a promising discussion on potential collaborations between the two esteemed institutions. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Apt. Puji Astuti, S.Si., M.Sc., Director of Partnerships and Global Relations at UGM, aimed to explore avenues of collaboration across academic and research domains, fostering international partnerships and enriching academic experiences for students and faculty members alike.
Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in collaboration with Ritsumeikan University (RU) has succesfully execute the first joint initiative, “the Ritsumeikan University – Global Fieldwork Program (GFP) 2024”. The program, themed “Introduction to Indonesian Social and Cultural Studies,” aims to foster collaboration and offer an immersive cultural experience to RU students away from Japan.

On 17 November 2023, H.E. Dominic Jermey CVO, OBE (British Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste) paid an ambassadorial visit to UGM, along with Juliana Ritcher (Deputy Head of Second Cities), Melisa Kusuma (Regional Outreach Manager for Central Java & Yogyakarta), Faye Belnis (Spokesperson), and Bianka Syarief (Media & Communication Team. H.E. Dominic Jermey and representatives from the British Embassy were cordially welcomed by Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, S.S., M.Hum., DEA., (Vice Rector for Education and Teaching), Ir. Wiratni, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM. (Deputy Director of Partnerships & Global Relations), as well as representatives from Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Graduate School, Vocational School, Directorate of Education and Learning.
