Greetings from Gifu University!
Gifu University is located in Central Japan, between Tokyo and Kyoto, and has excellent international accessibility. The history of Gifu University dates back to its foundation on May 31, 1949, and the university now consists of five faculties: Education, Regional Studies, Medicine, Engineering, Applied Biological Sciences (agriculture and veterinary). Currently, more than 7,000 students and post-graduate students are studying at Gifu University. One of the major missions is to produce graduates ready to contribute to the region and to engage in active roles throughout the world. Under the motto of “Learning, Exploring, and Contributing”, the University provides excellent educational courses to produce globally-minded graduates and to train future talent that conduct productive research.
We are pleased to inform you that the application for Gifu University for Exchange Program Autumn 2025 for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
ELIGIBILITY
- Undergraduate students (S1) or Graduate students (S2/S3)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Be proficient in English

- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- Letter of Recommendation from the Academic Advisor
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation Letter
- Colored Copy of Passport
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
- Passport Size Photo
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 16 March 2025 for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Gifu University and you may proceed to the online application no later than 3 April 2025.
- The FINAL decision is from Gifu University
IMPORTANT NOTES
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
