[Spain] Autonomous University of Barcelona – Barcelona Summer School

We are delighted to invite you r students to UAB Barcelona Summer  School that will take place at our ma in campus in Barcelona from June 25th to August 3rd. The UAB Barcelona Summer School offers undergraduate subjects in a range of fields; it takes place on the UAB Campus once the ordinary academic year is over. The courses are taught 100% in English and are full-time intensive programmes, consisting of at least 55 contact hours over a three-week period. Lectures take place in the mornings from 9am to 1pm and students are recommended to spend between two and three hours per day on self-guided study. All subjects are worth 6 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), which your university can transfer to your own degree programme (depending on your home university’s regulations), particularly if it already has a mobility programme in place with the UAB. Please kindly download the brochure for additional information from UAB Brochures.

The Jardine Foundation in its discretion awards Jardine Scholarships annually to students to enable them to attend educational establishments, primarily selected colleges at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge (the ‘Universities’) in the United Kingdom.
The Foundation aims to assist scholars who have the potential to become outstanding citizens with a high commitment to the community. Consequently, the selection of candidates is based on a number of criteria, which include academic achievement, leadership qualities, and involvement in non-curricular activities and community affairs.

[Poland] The Ignacy Łukasiewicz Scholarship Programme

The Ignacy Łukasiewicz Scholarship Programme, implemented as part of the “Polish Aid” programme, is addressed to the nationals of the following developing countries: Angola, Chile, Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Myanmar, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru, The Republic of South Africa, The Philippines, Senegal, Tanzania, and Vietnam. The aim of the Programme is to support the socio-economic development of the above-mentioned countries.
The Ignacy Łukasiewicz Scholarship Programme enables free education as part of a second cycle programme of studies at a higher education institution supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Polish: Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego – MNiSW) in the following areas of study: sciences, natural sciences, technical sciences, agricultural, forestry and veterinary sciences.
Candidates are selected on the basis of a competitive procedure, based on the quality assessment of applications carried out by reviewers of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange who are academics working in higher education institutions.
Candidates independently choose a higher education institution and degree programme from among the educational offers of Polish public higher education institutions. The list of public HEIs supervised by the Minister competent for higher education is available via the link: http://www.go-poland.pl/higher-education-institutions.

University of Opole invites Universitas Gadjah Mada students to participate in the Summer University 2018. This year we have changed the conception and introduced more freedom and flexibility into our programme, thus offering an opportunity to each participant to pursue their own interests and ambitions.
80 hours of classes, workshops and activities. Two English Modules (Practical English with elements of academic English – 30 h, and Elective Courses – 24 h). Rich afternoon and weekend activities. This is what we have prepared to boost English proficiency of the students and improve their social skills.
The fee for the Summer School is 539 Euro EUR and covers the 80 hour course, accommodation at the dormitory, a two day trip to Polish historical capital city – Cracow, and after class activities.

International Center of Tokushima University receive more than 40 applicants, we will have to choose attendants based on nomination ranking.

On behalf of Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA), I am pleased to invite you to be part of the East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress 2018 to be held at the Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo City, Philippines, on November 27-30, 2018.
Hosted by the Government of the Philippines and carrying the theme, “25 Years of Partnerships for Healthy Oceans, People and Economies: Moving as One with the Global Ocean Agenda”, the EAS Congress 2018 aims to usher in better, stronger and smarter regional actions that are strategically aligned with the key principles and targets of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to the global ocean agenda.
The EAS Congress 2018 is expected to engage over 1,000 participants from national and local government, academia, business, international organizations and NG0s. This will be the sixth in a series of triennial ocean-focused Congresses organized by PEMSEA, beginning in 2003 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. It will feature an International Conference and Environmental Exhibition, the Fifth EAS Youth Forum (YF5), PEMSEA Network of Local Governments (PNLG) Forum 2018, and will culminate with the Sixth Ministerial Forum.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Motivation Letter
  • Certificate of Enrollment from faculty
  • Official academic transcript
  • Letter of Recommendation from academic advisor
  • Letter of Nomination issued by Home University
  • Colored copy of passport
  • Copy student card
  • Certificate of Health Insurance (for six months) (Form no. 3) CERTIFICATE OF HEALTH
  • Passport-size photo (4 pieces, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background color, taken within the past three months)
  • Letter of Nomination from faculty (*addressed to Head of Office of International Affairs)
  • English language proficiency  (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=530, iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur F-13) for internal review.
  2. OIA staffs will evaluate your application.
  3. Once you are selected as Nominated Student, OIA will send your application to Kansai University of International Studies as host university selection.
  4. FINAL decision from Kansai University of International Studies.

Please send all documents above in 2 COPIES to Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur Block F-13) no later than May 2, 2018.
