Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, often simply referred to as Humboldt University, is one of Germany’s oldest and most prestigious universities. Founded in 1810 by the philosopher Wilhelm von Humboldt and his brother, Alexander von Humboldt, a natural scientist and explorer, it is located in the heart of Berlin.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin HUWISU Winter and Summer Programs 2024 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

 

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Humboldt’s HUWISU Progeam 2024 provides courses which are all thematically related to the city of Berlin in a variety of different subjects. In addition to seminars and lectures, students will be able to deepen and apply their knowledge on excursions and guided tours throughout Berlin. These courses are open to students of all academic disciplines.

HUWISU courses are accredited according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Students can gain up to 12 ECTS during the HUWISU Winter Program when combining two courses (one course = 6 ECTS).

PROGRAM INFORMATION

The English-mediated course: Learning Osaka, the Mercantile Capital of Japan is held in English.  The course provides students with opportunities to learn the history and culture of Osaka in depth through lectures and hands-on experience.  They also can expect to understand “entrepreneurial spirit” by observing the history, actual and current situation of companies with roots in Osaka. Introductory Japanese course is also available as an option for students who wish to study Japanese language.

UC Chile (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) seeks excellence in the creation and transfer of knowledge and in the provision of a Catholic based education to form people at the service of society. Founded in 1888, the university currently has nearly 33,000 students and 500 professors. Nearly 1,000 international students come to UC Chile to experience a mobility program. Since the start of Covid-19  pandemics, students have been confined to their homes, lacking social interactions—this year’s Ewha International Winter College (EIWC) will serve as a great relief after the cabin fever! EIWC features one session of 3-weeks— this session consists of lectures including Korean Language Course and Korean Ceramics, along with field trips such as Lotte World and Gyeongbokgung Palace Tour.
