DREaM is an annual international summer program held by Universitas Gadjah Mada. DREaM 2017 will be the 9th event we hold so far. In DREaM 2016, we had around 43 participants from 6 countries who took part in this event. The 1st DREaM was held on 2009 and it was a success. The constant success of this program since 2009 could not have been achieved without the continuous support and hard work of the best DREaM Team. This year we are looking for new faces to become part of DREaM Team 2017 to help us collaborate with worldwide university partners, embassies and institutions, as well as key persons of international organizations and countries around the globe.
The 9th DREaM International Summer Program is proudly organized by the Office of International Affairs with the relentless support and contribution of student volunteers. This program is dedicated to enhance people-to-people among youths across communities and nations. It is scheduled to be taking place in the middle of August 2017. We expect 100 students from different countries to join this program.
DREaM 2017 emphasizes “Resilient Society: a trans-disciplinary and cross-border approach” as the theme for the upcoming event.
U.S. politics, apart from being highly dynamic, stands at the center of global attention due to the large influence U.S. has over the course of global politics. As is the case with all strong democracies, political decisions in the U.S. are made under a system where power is separated between three branches: the executive, the legislative, and the judicial system. This program will dissect the way separation of powers work in the U.S., particularly in light of various legal and policy-related implications resulted by the interaction between the executive, the Congress, and the judicial system in the U.S.
Date : Monday, 17 April 2017

This conference aims at gathering about 100 representatives from higher education and research institutions worldwide, as well as from donor organisations, to identify barriers to gender equity in higher education management and to discuss good (and bad) practices from across the globe. It is organised in the frame of the “Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES)” programme, which is jointly conducted by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Rectors´ Conference (HRK). Leaders of higher education institutions play a crucial role in the development of their institutions and countries. By far more men than women are represented in leading positions. Gender equity in higher education management positions seems to be hard to achieve, due to a bundle of difficulties women face. Not only will the conference provide a platform for discussing practices, it will also contribute to developing adapted and useful measures for the DIES programme.
