Greetings from Japan!

OUICP-S is a short-term, interactive, hybrid educational program designed for undergraduate students. It combines both online learning and practical study abroad experiences, aiming to develop globally minded individuals who can contribute to knowledge co-creation and sustainable innovation in the ASEAN region.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for The UOsaka International Certificate Program S (OUICP-S) 2026 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

 

Application Guideline

 

PROGRAM DETAILS
Students may choose between two programs:

  1. Global Frontiers in Japan – Participating students will learn about cutting-edge social issues in Japan, explore the technical and social solutions addressing them, and connect these issues with their own interests in relation to the SDGs.
  2. Frontier Engineering – Participating students will enhance their engineering expertise, experience UOsaka’s academic and industrial environments, and explore how their research connects to the SDGs and social issues.

 

PRACTICAL STUDY ABROAD

  1. Global Frontiers in Japan:  Approx. April 30, 2026 – the middle/the end of May 2026
  2. Frontier Engineering:  Approx. April 30, 2026 – the middle of July 2026

 

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Undergraduate students (S1) in their 3rd or 4th year of study
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  4. Be proficient in English

  2. English Language Proficiency 
  3. Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
  4. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
  5. Letter of Recommendation from the Academic Advisor (Reference Letter)
  6. Curriculum Vitae
  7. Motivation Letter
  8. Colored Copy of Passport
  9. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download) 
  10. Passport Size Photo
  11. Completed Application Form (download)
  12. Statement of Purpose (download)
  13. Career Goal (download)
  14. Course Registration List (download)
  15. Study Plan (download)

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 03 November 2025 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to The University of Osaka and you may proceed to the online application no later than 20 November 2025.
  3. The FINAL decision is from The University of Osaka.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
