The Technical University of Munich (TUM) was founded in 1868 and is regarded as one of Europe’s leading technical universities. Since 2002, TUM Asia was built as the first academic branch campus of a German university. With 15 years of presence in Asia offering German higher education fused with Asian relevance, TUM Asia offers Bachelor and Master degrees by TUM, in partnership with universities in Singapore. TUM Asia is launching our special TUM Asia Scholarship for selected university partners of TUM Asia.
TUM Asia’s scholarship
Is a one-time 50% subsidy of the published tuition fee for successful awardee(s) to support his/her study of one of the following Master degree programmes offered by TUM Asia:
- Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering
- Master of Science in Green Electronics
- Master of Science in Industrial Chemistry
- Master of Science in Integrated Circuit Design
- Master of Science in Rail, Transport and Logistics.
There is no bond attached to the scholarship.

Eligibility
- Final year students who will graduate before the AY 2021/2022 starts.
- Fresh graduates/Alumni of UGM
- Bachelor Degree relevant to the Master programme you are applying to.

- Student to submit to UGM an essay: “Please explain in a maximum 500 words why you are deserving of the TUM Asia Scholarship.”
- Statement of Purpose indicating the reason(s) you are interested in this programme
- Curriculum Vitae
- Official Academic Transcript record (issued in English)
- 2 Recommendation Letters from your professors or employers (this applies only for MSc in Green Electronics, MSc in Integrated Circuit Design and MSc in Industrial Chemistry applications)
- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty (for final year students)
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty for final year students (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- Bachelor Degree certificate or enrolment letter* (if you have not completed your Bachelor Degree)
- English Language Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL test score (≥88/≥100# for Internet-based test, DI code: 7368) or IELTS test score (≥6.5 overall) taken no more than two years ago from date of submission
- Copy of passport photo identification page
- All the document listed as required on the Online Application
Application Procedures
- Applicants must submit and complete an online application to one of TUM Asia’s graduate programmes following the procedures in this website link by 30th of April 2021.
- Upon completion of the online application, submit the aforementioned documents compiled in one PDF file to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 30th of April 2021 for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination for the scholarship to TUM Asia.
- The FINAL decision from TUM Asia.
