[South Korea] Chonnam National University – The Spring 2027 Exchange Program

Greeting From South Korea!

Chonnam National University (CNU) is a national university in South Korea, recognised for its comprehensive academic programmes, research excellence, and international engagement. Through its exchange programmes, CNU provides students with opportunities to pursue academic studies, experience Korean culture, and develop international perspectives.

We are pleased to announce that applications for the Spring 2027 Exchange Program are now open to students of Universitas Gadjah Mada.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Undergraduate students (S1) or Graduate students (S2/S3)
2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
3. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
4. Proficient In English

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Academic Transcript: Recent transcripts covering all previous semesters.
2. Passport Copy: Photo identification page; passport must remain valid for at least 1 year after the semester ends in Korea.
3. Passport Photo: Recent passport-style photo with a white background.
4. University Enrollment Certificate: Required for students from non-OECD countries, with Apostille.
5. Bank Balance Certificate: Required for students from non-OECD countries, showing at least US$5,000 per semester, issued within 30 days of application.

Important Note: Students majoring in Arts, Music, Law, Medicine, or other restricted professional/arts-related fields cannot participate under their current major. They must select an eligible major at CNU and take courses within that major during the exchange.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 15 October 2026. 
2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Chonnam National University and you may proceed to the online application.
3. The FINAL decision is from Chonnam National University.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
