The Chevening Scholarship is the UK Government’s flagship international scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations. The scholarship offers future leaders the opportunity to pursue a world-class education in the United Kingdom, experience UK culture and values, and build lifelong connections through a global network of influential leaders. Applications for the 2026/2027 intake are open from 4 August to 6 October 2026.
The Program are Meant For Student :
- Have strong examples of their influence and leadership skills
- Are great at building new relationships
- Are solutions-focused and determined to play a role in solving the world’s most pressing challenges
ELIGIBILITY
- Be a citizen of one Chevening-eligible countries/territories
- Holds an undergraduate degree
- Have at least two years of working experience (2,800 hours)
WHAT DOES CHEVENING COVER?
- Fully covered tuition fees
- Monthly living allowance
- An economy return flight to the UK
- Additional grants to cover essential expenditure (visa, TB test, health insurance, arrival & departure allowance, etc)
TIMELINE
- 4 August 2026 Application open
- 6 October 2026 Application close
- October 2026 – January 2027 Initial application sift
- Mid-February 2027 Applicants are shortlisted for interview
- March – April 2027 Interview period
- Mid-June 2027 Announcement of interview result
- 8 July 2027 Deadline for Letter of Acceptance (LoA)
- September/October 2027 Successful applicants arrive in the UK
