The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) invites Universitas Gadjah Mada early-career professionals and research managers to apply for the Asia-Europe Training and Youth Summit on Science & Technology Diplomacy 2026. This unique hybrid program combines an extensive online training phase with an in-person summit in Jakarta, aiming to build practical skills in international scientific collaboration.
We are pleased to inform you that the application for the ASEF Science & Technology Diplomacy Program 2026 is now open for eligible UGM staff and researchers.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS & TIMELINE
Participants must fully complete both phases of the program:
- Online Training Phase: 22 July – 4 October 2026. Features webinars and interactive workshops exploring science diplomacy ecosystems.
- In-Person Youth Summit: 19 – 24 October 2026 (Jakarta, Indonesia). Features onsite networking and collaborative diplomatic exercises.
ELIGIBILITY & RESTRICTIONS
- Age: Must be under 35 years old.
- Profession: Must be currently working as a Research/Science Manager, young lecturer, or professional staff member in an international science/technology-related capacity at UGM.
- ⚠️ STRICT RESTRICTION: This program is NOT open to undergraduate students or doctoral candidates.
