RWTH Aachen University—ranked #1 in Germany for Mechanical Engineering—invites Universitas Gadjah Mada engineering students and alumni to apply for the German Engineering College (GEC) Pathway Program. Facilitated by the RWTH International Academy, this online qualification program is designed to help international students successfully prepare for and secure admission to top-tier, English-taught Master’s programs in Germany.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Format: A structured online qualification program running from July to December. It includes 5 online courses with videos, quizzes, and interactive exchanges.
- Academic Pathways: Prepares you specifically for leading M.Sc. degrees at RWTH, such as Robotic Systems Engineering, Battery Systems Engineering, and Resilient Civil Engineering.
- Strategic Advantages: Successfully completing the GEC allows you to apply for your Master’s without a GRE test, minimizes the risk of conditional admission, and gives you early access to secure your place and plan your visa.
ELIGIBILITY & FEES
- Active UGM final-year undergraduate students or recent alumni with a background in engineering.
- Funding: This is a self-funded preparatory program.
- 🌟 Rising Star Scholarship: Top applicants can receive a 25% reduction of the GEC tuition fee. To be considered, you must submit an additional motivation letter with your application documents.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applicants must apply directly to the RWTH International Academy.
- Watch the provided webinar series to understand the pathway and Master’s options.
- Prepare your application documents, including the optional motivation letter if you wish to be considered for the 25% scholarship.
- Submit your application via the official GEC Application Form.
- Application Deadline: 15 June 2026. The FINAL decision is from RWTH Aachen University.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
