RWTH International Academy at RWTH Aachen University invites young professionals and graduates to apply for its Master’s degree programs. Depending on your timeline and preparation level, RWTH offers two excellent pathways to secure your admission to one of Germany’s leading technical universities.
We are pleased to inform you that the applications for the RWTH Aachen Master’s Pathways (2026 & 2027 Intakes) are now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students and alumni.
PATHWAY 1: START YOUR MASTER’S IN OCTOBER 2026 Through the Subsequent Allocation Process, you can still apply for selected Master’s programs starting this year.
- Test Requirement: If you are applying for mechanics-based engineering programs, scheduling your GRE test for April is strongly recommended.
- Scholarship Opportunities: Applicants can submit an additional motivation letter to secure tuition reductions, including:
- Global Talent Scholarship: Up to 35% off tuition fees (Indonesian students are officially eligible).
- Women in Engineering Scholarship: 25% off tuition fees.
- High Potential Student Grant: 25% off tuition fees.

PATHWAY 2: GERMAN ENGINEERING COLLEGE (MASTER’S START 2027) If you need more time to prepare, the German Engineering College (GEC) offers a structured online pathway (July – December 2026) to secure your admission for the 2027 intake.
- Key Benefits: No GRE required for Master’s admission, priority (VIP) admission status upon completion, and academic preparation for the German system.
- GEC Tuition & Funding: The GEC preparatory program fee is €7,000 (scholarships available to reduce this). Top performers in the GEC can earn up to a 50% scholarship for their actual Master’s tuition fees.
