Greetings from South Korea!

Established in 1905, Korea University is widely regarded as one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education, and is one of the SKY (universities). The student body consists of over 20,000 undergraduate students and over 10,000 graduate students. The university’s academic breadth is broad with its 81 departments in 19 colleges and divisions, as well as 18 graduate schools. It has over 1,500 full-time faculty members with over 95% of them holding Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in their field.The Korea University Alumni Association consists of more than 280,000 university graduates.

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Korea University International Winter Campus (KU IWC) and Exchange Program 2025 is now open. 

 

1. International Winter Campus (KU IWC)

Korea University International Winter Campus (KU IWC) provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about Korea through academic and cultural immersion during the winter months. It offers one semester’s load of work condensed into 3-weeks, during which renowned academics teach both domestic and international students. This program is open to current or pre-college students who wish to study in Korea but may not be able to do so during the regular academic year.

PROGRAM PERIOD

  •    3-week: December 23 (Tue), 2025 – January 9 (Fri), 2026
  •    4-week: December 23 (Tue), 2025 – January 19 (Mon), 2026

 

ELIGIBILITY

  • International students currently enrolled in a college/university (College/university freshmen can apply for KU IWC without GPA restriction)
    – Graduated students can apply for KU IWC in specific cases. Please contact us in advance.
  • Academically motivated 12th graders who are 18 years old
  • High school graduates who are 18 years old or older

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Copy of Academic Transcript of home institution (certified proof of enrollment for freshmen
  2. Proof of Health Insurance (Any type that covers your stay in Korea, such as Travel Insurance)
  3. Copy of Passport (Student ID, if passport is not available)
    *If you are taking ONLINE class only, you can be exempt from submitting (2) Health Insurance, (3) Passport

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Apply directly to Korea University. Kindly refer to Application Procedure Website
  2. The deadline is 14 November 2025.
  3. The FINAL decision is from Korea University.

 


2. Exchange Program 2025 

We are pleased to inform you that the application for Korea University Exchange Program 2025 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students. 

 

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Undergraduate students (S1) or Graduate students (S2/S3)
  2. Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
  3. Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  4. Be proficient in English 

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Official Academic Transcript
  2. English Language Proficiency 
  3. Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
  4. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
  5. Letter of Recommendation from the Academic Advisor
  6. Curriculum Vitae
  7. Motivation Letter
  8. Colored Copy of Passport
  9. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download) 
  10. Passport Size Photo 
  11. Proof of Health Insurance (Any type that covers students’ stay in Korea)

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 15 October 2025 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Korea University and you may proceed to the online application no later than 14 November 2025.
  3. The FINAL decision is from Korea University.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
