The Institute of International Education (IIE) Quad Fellowship is a prestigious program aimed at fostering global collaboration and understanding. We are pleased to inform you that the application for Quad Fellowship Elevating the Brightest Minds in STEM for Collective Good 2024 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Quad Fellowship is a first-of-its-kind fellowship designed to build ties among the next generation of scientists and technologists. It offers an unparalleled blend of financial support, cross-cultural exchange, and networking:
- A one-time stipend of US $40,000 for academic expenses.
- Networking opportunities with accomplished minds in STEM, government, and society.
- Multicultural alumni network dedicated to advancing innovation and research for positive social impact.
- The inaugural cohort of Quad Fellows is a diverse and dynamic array of scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians from the four Quad countries of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States. More than 50% of our inaugural class identifies as women or non-binary and are currently studying across 49 distinct areas of specialization in STEM across the US. Quad Fellows recently gathered at the White House to celebrate the successes of the first cohort and mark the launch of the second cycle.
ELIGIBILITY
- Master’s and doctoral students in science and technology who demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional results in their field, and a desire to use their talents to promote collective good
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Be proficient in English

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Submit your application to the application portal no later than 1 April 2024 (5 PM ET).
- If you need the university-level recommendation letter, submit the required documents (attached above) to UGM International Exposure Application Form: http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than 25 March 2024 for internal review.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id
