Warm greetings from Kansai University!

 

Kansai University was founded as Kansai Law School in November 1886, in the large commercial city of Osaka. Its founders consisted of a dozen people who were judicial officers and businesspersons. Kansai University has seen remarkable development over its many years. Kansai University has 13 faculties, 13 graduate schools, three professional graduate schools, as well as a preparatory course for international students. Over its long history, all those involved in building its institution have had to overcome various hardships to achieve such prestigious standing.

 

We are pleased to inform you that the Application for Kansai University Online Winter School is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

Application Guidelines

 

  • Program Duration: January 25- February 10, 2021
  • How to join: Online (on Zoom)
  • Schedule Winter
    • Monday, January 25, 2021–Friday, February 5, 2021 (12 days, Online course)

 

Courses 

  • Main Courses taught in English are as follows: Work-Based Learning and Society5.0: Sustainable Development Goals.  Each overview is found below.  In response to Optional Courses taught in Japanese, there are two options; Business Japanese, Survival Japanese Language.  For this year only, applicants can opt to take only either course.

 

    • Work-Based Learning
      • In this course, registered students will comprehend Japanese business management on the basis of business-related researches such as field research, as well as develop practical business communication in practice required in Japanese business.
    • Society5.0: Sustainable Development Goals
      • This course provides an in-depth understanding with regard to affairs inside and outside of Japan by focusing on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.  There is also an opportunity to learn about how the SDGs plan is relevant and impactful globally scaled projects implemented in Japan in the foreseeable future.

  5. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)**
  6. English Language Proficiency Certificate
  7. All the document listed as required on the Application Form & Guidelines
  8. Copy of passport photo identification page
  9. Passport picture
  10. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)

Application Procedure

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to UGM International Exposure Application Form:http://ugm.id/IntExposureApplication no later than November 2nd, 2020 for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will confirm your official nomination to Kansai University and you may proceed to the online application.
  3. The FINAL decision from Kansai University

 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
