Warm Greetings from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand!
Founded in March 1917, Chulalongkorn University is Thailand’s first institution of higher learning. The groundwork and preparation for the university’s establishment, however, took place almost half a century earlier. The main mission of Chulalongkorn University is to be the center for academic learning and professional excellence. The University has 20 faculties, 23 colleges and research institutes, and 7,861 faculty members. Currently, there are over 37,280 students, including 25,643 undergraduates, 10,849 postgraduates, and 788 certificate program students.
We are pleased to inform you that the application for Chulalongkorn University Students Exchange Program for Spring 2021 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.
*Like all partner universities, Chulalongkorn University is also dealing with challenges and uncertainty caused by COVID-19. Though the University does not know for sure how long the COVID-19 situation will continue, the University is still trying to proceed with the student exchange program in Spring 2021 as usual, hoping the situation will improve. However, should there be any drastic change in this matter, Chulalongkorn University will contact applicants as soon as possible.

Eligibility
- 3rd to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1)
- 3rd to 4th-semester graduate students (S2/S3)
- Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program
Required Documents
- Official Academic Transcript
- Colored Copy of Passport
- English language proficiency (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=550, iBT 79 or IELTS 6.0)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation Letter
- Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
- Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
- One Photo in a JPG file for the application (3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background color, taken within the past three months)
- Two (2) Recommendation Letters from Academic Advisors
- Statement of Purpose (500-800 words and a Course List offered by CU that you wish to attend)
- Health insurance policy/plan (after admitted)
Application Procedure
- Submit the aforementioned documents to the Office of International Affairs, UGM for internal review.
- OIA staff will evaluate your application.
- Once you are selected as Nominated Student, OIA will send your official nomination to Chulalongkorn University for host-university selection.
- The FINAL decision from Chulalongkorn University.
- In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
- In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)

Application of outgoing mobility for fall/odd semester in AY 2020/2021 will be processed but the implementation/execution will carefully consider the latest development of COVID-19 and government’s regulation.
