[South Korea] Yeungnam University – Student Exchange Program for Fall 2020

Greetings from Yeungnam University!

Since its foundation in 1947, Yeungnam University has enhanced a reputation as a prestigious university in South Korea, with about 218,000 graduates who have been playing important roles domestically and internationally. Yeungnam University has fostered talents that contribute to the nation’s development based on a foundational philosophy to “create a new history to revive our nation based on a patriotic spirit” for the past 69 years.

We are pleased to inform you that the Application for YU Student Exchange Program for Fall 2020 is now open for Universitas Gadjah Mada students.

Eligibility

  • 3rd to 6th-semester undergraduate students (S1)
  • 3rd to 4th-semester graduate students (S2/S3)
  • Enrolled in Universitas Gadjah Mada during the program

Required Documents

  1. Completed Application Form (after nominated)
  2. Curriculum Vitae
  3. Motivation Letter
  4. Official Academic Transcript
  5. Letter of Enrollment from Faculty
  6. Letter of Nomination from Faculty (addressed to the Head of Office of International Affairs UGM)
  7. Confirmation Letter of Participation (download)
  8. English Language Proficiency (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=530, iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0)
  9. Colored Copy of Passport

Application Procedure

  1. Submit the aforementioned documents to the Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur F-13) for internal review.
  2. OIA staff will evaluate your application.
  3. Once you are selected as Nominated Applicants, OIA will send your official nomination to Yeungnam University and you may proceed to the online application for host-university selection.
  4. The FINAL decision from Yeungnam University.
Please send all documents above in softcopy (compiled in 1 PDF File) to email: scholarship@ugm.ac.id no later than April 15th, 2020.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • In the meantime, the students are required to keep the hard file of all documents until further notice by the Office of International Affairs.
  • In case the faculty could not provide the letter of enrollment and nomination during this period, the official nomination through email from the faculty is acceptable. The official nomination could be delivered to head-oia@ugm.ac.id (cc to scholarship@ugm.ac.id)
  • Application of outgoing mobility for fall/odd semester in AY 2020/2021 will be processed but the implementation/execution will carefully consider the latest development of COVID-19 and government’s regulation.
