Warmest greetings from Doshisha University, Japan!

Doshisha University was founded in 1875 by Joseph Hardy Neesima (Jo Niijima), who became one of the six great educators of the Meiji era. The three educational principles of Liberalism, Internationalism, and Christian Principles have been passed on to us since its foundation, and students are encouraged to nurture a sense of freedom, independence, and conscience. Located in the ancient capital of Kyoto, Doshisha University is home for over 2,400 graduate and professional graduate students. Doshisha continues to develop as an international hub of higher education and research.z
