The VSP is a 4-week academic program where students will be studying 2 academic courses taught by members of the UBC faculty. They will have the opportunity to participate in guided laboratory exercises, socio-cultural activities on campus, and explore the city of Vancouver. In 2018, we had over 2500 students attend the VSP. Since it launched, we have continuously received excellent feedback from students and universities.
There are two sessions available for students to enroll in and details are as follows:
Cost: $5250 CAD (includes: two courses, course materials, medical insurance, group airport transfers and city tour, shared accommodation on UBC campus, orientation and farewell events, and socio-cultural activities)

- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation Letter
- Letter of Recommendation from Academic Advisor
- Letter of Nomination from Faculty (*addressed to Head of Office of International Affairs)
- Certificate of Enrollment from Faculty
- Official Academic Transcript
- Language proficiency certificate (Min. Score of TOEFL – ITP=530, iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0)
- Colored copy of Passport (ID page)
- Photograph (JPEG)
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Submit the aforementioned documents to Office of International Affairs, UGM (Bulaksumur F-12) for internal review.
- OIA staffs will evaluate your application.
- Once you are selected as Nominated Student, OIA will send your application to University of British Columbia for host university selection
- FINAL decision from University of British Columbia
