The Global Collaborative Summer Program was established through an institutional agreement between Kyung Hee University and University of Pennsylvania, which was later joined by other prestigious universities as well as international organizations such as the United Nations and Conference of NGOs(CoNGO).

Under the theme “Humanity, Civilization, and Global Governance,” the Global Collaborative Summer Program seeks to promote a better understanding of the East Asian region and the world, in tandem with the current quests for “world peace” and “global common good.” It also aims to provide a new paradigm of higher education for the emerging global agenda by consciously integrating education, research and global service.

The Asian Village: Challenges, Innovations & Reforms in East and Southeast Asia from Below

Description

The attempt to explain and study Asia has always been a daunting task due to its socio-economic and political diversity, rich history and cultural traditions and its place in both the ancient and modern global landscape. Much has been written on the region in recent years, but most accounts focus on formal institutions, structural arrangements including the elites vis-à-vis single country and single-issue discourses.

The 4th Global Youth Leaders Travel and Learning Camp (GYLTLC 2015) in Singapore in this coming summer (6-10 August, 2015). 

GYLTLC aims to bring student leaders worldwide. Through the activities lined up, participants will be able to partake in cross cultural interaction and cooperation, and also gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the multiracial society in Singapore.

Above all, participants will be able to witness the celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee for 50 Years of Independence.

The Institute of Language, Art and Culture at Suan Dusit Rajabhat University will hold an international conference on 2 and 3 July 2015. Academics, lecturers, teachers, as well as those who are interested in linguistics, applied linguistics, language teaching, cultural studies, and other related fields are welcome to the conference. The theme of the conference is “Moving towards an Integration of Language and Culture”, and the keynote speakers are Professor Rod Ellis (Ph.D.) and Professor Anne Burns (Ph.D.), the two academics in the field of language.

Saga University invites UGM students to participate in Saga University Summer Program this year to experience a different and unforgettable summer with students from all over the world.

Tokai University is pleased to host a summer intensive course called ''Tokai Cool Japan'' for students from all over the world. It is a two-week program focusing on Japanese language and Japanese culture. In the program, the students will receive Japanese lessons and participate in cultural activities such as Japanese tea ceremony, Judo, and Origami. In addition, students will also be offered a day trip to Tokyo, suburb of Tokyo, and an optional weekend trip.
