ASEAN young leaders for innovation 2016 is a 5-day international forum for student leaders hailing from ASEAN universities. It is primarily focused on reinforcing the ASEAN identity by creating platform of engagement through design thinking and social
innovation with regards to ASEAN integration initiative that aims to boost ties between ASEAN countries with the goal of
improving the region’s global competitiveness and integrates different ASEAN communities into one diversified social innovative regional entity.
Throughout the event, several activities will be made regarding Design Thinking and Social Innovation and fields with respect to changes, issues to be addressed by social innovation that will impact the lives of ASEAN young leaders. To fully realize the goals of this event, the program is envisioned to create an avenue of information and channel for design thinking and social innovative ideas through thematic talks, collaborative activities, team building, sharing of ideas and congregational dialogues to inform and empower the young student leaders to take a stand and act on the challenges faced by the ASEAN community.

The Sejong University International Summer School brings students from universities around the world together in an exploration of Korea. The Sejong University International Summer School will be held for 2 weeks each (English Track: July 18 – July 30, 2016 / Korean Track: August 1 – August 13, 2016). The camp will be from 5 to 11 June 2016 (including ravel days) and will be held at UBU in Ubon Ratchathani province and in Mukdahan province. The camp will consist of 100 participants from universities in ASEAN countries.
The aims of the camp are to i) improve studens’ English skills, ii) leam and exchange information about the
cultures of ASEAN students, and iii) improve aad srengthen academic co-operation among
universities in ASEAN.
The event will consist of cultural exchange activities, lectures on the ASEAN
community, learning English, and a national performance by the participants from each country
(duration 5 minutes for each performance). Therefore, UBU invites the participants from UGM to
present an Indonesian performance of five minutes duration on the evening of 6 June 2016.

Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS is the abbreviation for the Tokyo Tech-Asia Young Scientist and Engineer Advanced Study Program. This annual program is the successor to the Japan-Asia Young Scientist and Engineer Study Visit (JAYSES) program, which began in 2007. The Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS program will be held again this summer.
In this year’s program, Tokyo Tech students will visit Thailand to learn about technology, industry, education and governance in the country. Other students will join from ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) member countries. Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS is a great opportunity to increase knowledge and build an international network.
OBJECTIVE
Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS is a joint study program for students from member universities in Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.
