The ES3 2024 is a 3-week program featuring an 18-hour non-credit Engineering and Sustainability module, complemented by engaging outdoor activities focusing on engineering and technologies. Participants will be able to experience knowledgeable and enjoyable activities offered along with many visits to local exhibitions and stores, an excursion trip, and exhilarating games to experience the local cultures and traditions of Malaysia. By joining this summer school, the students will gain the opportunity to learn more about Malaysian culture, disclosure to heritage as well as interacting with local society.

Introduction

Indonesian International Student Mobility Award Professional Program (Entrepreneur) (IISMA-E) is the Government of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students for entrepreneurship program at top Universities overseas. Undergraduate and vocational students could spend six to seven weeks at the overseas university partner to study, experience the host country’s culture and undertake entrepreneurial assignments to hone their skills.

Eligibility

To apply for IISMA Professional Program (Entrepreneur) 2024, you must (be):

1. an active undergraduate or vocational student, currently enrolled and registered in the Higher Education Database (Pangkalan Data Pendidikan Tinggi – PDDIKTI), who falls under the following criteria:

a. Undergraduate students minimum in their 6th semester at recognized universities in Indonesia (Perguruan Tinggi Dalam Negeri – PTDN) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology; or

b. Diploma 4 students in their minimum 6th semester at recognized universities offering vocational programs in Indonesia (Perguruan Tinggi Penyelenggara Pendidikan Vokasi – PTPPV) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology;

2. an Indonesian citizen (WNI) currently residing in Indonesia and does not have dual citizenship;

3. maximum 24 years old by July 1, 2024;

4. have a cumulative GPA of minimum 3.0 (out of 4.0) proven by the latest academic transcript;

5. nominated by Head of Study Program/Head of Department of home university (PTDN or PTPPV);

6. never have taken college leave during study;

7. not participate in other Kampus Merdeka flagship programs while taking part in IISMA Program;

8. not take any classes at home university during IISMA program;

9. not have received IISMA scholarship before;

10. submit valid English proficiency certificate with the following minimum scores:*

TOEFL iBT – 78, IELTS – 6.0, Duolingo English Test – 100, or TOEIC Listening and Reading Test – 785,

to IISMA’s official institutional code of respective English test*; (check here)

11. never have violated the rules, norms, and/or laws applied in Indonesia;

12. adhere to the rules and regulations while participating in the IISMA program;

Notes:

*If the host university’s English language proficiency requirement exceeds requirement on point 10 or exclusively accepts a specific type of English language proficiency test, the language criteria established by the host university will apply to the applicant. Kindly review and refer to the minimum English Proficiency scores specified by your preferred host universities.

Additional Required Documents

1. Scan of SKCK (Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian) issued by related authorities.

2. Scan of Letter Declaration Clearance from Narcotic (Surat Keterangan Bebas Narkoba) which includes but not limited to Amphetamin (AMP), Marijuana (THC), and Morphine (MOP) issued by related authorities.

Required document to be submitted by Office of International Affairs:  

1. Letter of Statement and Recommendation from Host University (Surat Rekomendasi dan Pernyataan Perguruan Tinggi) signed and sealed (bermeterai) by Vice Rector (click here) *this document will be processed by OIA UGM directly to IISMA referring to the applications submitted to OIA UGM. So if you do not submit to OIA UGM, there will be a possibility your name will not be listed in the recommendation letter. So please make sure you submit to OIA UGM as required.

Application Procedures

  1. Submit the aforementioned required Main documents and Additional documents combined in one PDF file to the Office of International Affairs by the deadline 17 May 2024 through the online submission link: ugm.id/UGMRegisIISMAE2024
  2. OIA will evaluate your application and upon selection review of your documents, OIA will then proceed with the Letter of Statement and Recommendation from Home University (Surat Rekomendasi dan Pernyataan Perguruan Tinggi) signed and sealed (bermeterai) by Vice Rector as required by IISMA.
  3. Students shall also proceed with the online application through IISMA Application Portal, opened by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) until 17 May 2024.
  4. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) will proceed with the selection of students.
  5. The FINAL decision of acceptance will be from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek).

As this scholarship is highly competitive, applicants are strongly suggested to strictly follow the basic requirements of the eligibility AND requirements of the host university.

Any changes and updated information throughout the opening of the application will be notified to the webpage of OIA. Final reference of information will be from the IISMA Website.
