Greeting From Austria!

The ASEAN University Network–ASEAN European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) is an international academic cooperation network established in 1994 to strengthen collaboration between universities in Europe and Southeast Asia. Through its extensive network of member institutions, ASEA-UNINET promotes academic mobility, research collaboration, and cultural exchange across various disciplines. Today, the network continues to expand opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty members while fostering international partnerships and advancing excellence in higher education.

We are pleased to inform you that the ASEA-UNINET PhD Studies, Postdoctoral Research Stays, and Music Practice 2027 is now open.

 

Fact Sheet

 

Eligibility

  1. Citizens of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam
  2. PhD candidates, Postdoctoral researchers, or Undergraduate students (or higher) in Music Practice, depending on the selected grant category.
  3. PhD applicants should have completed a university degree outside Austria and fulfill the admission requirements of the host university.
  4. Postdoctoral applicants should be engaged in teaching and research at an ASEA-UNINET member university.
  5. 35 years old or younger (Undergraduate, Graduate, and Postgraduate applicants) or 45 years old or younger (Postdoctoral applicants).
  6. Demonstrate very good proficiency in English and/or German.

 

 Required Documents

  1. Research proposal (in the field of music: CV & Audition Registration)
  2. Letter of Consent of the supervisor at the Austrian host university (for Music Practice: “Letterof Endorsement” from the Austrian music universities after successful auditions process)
  3. Two Letters of Recommendation by university lecturers (for PhD applications: a Letter of Recommendation must be provided by an ASEA-UNINET member university in Indonesia,Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam or the Philippines.)
  4. Proof of a very good command of English (B2 or C1, depending on the chosen degree programme)
  5. Copy of passport
  6. University graduation certificates as well as an English or German translation.
